Dear Sat Siri,

The qualified ones are the experts in temple architecture which they

extend to home. I have seen some very big experts falling on the wayside.

They make you spend a fortune, they charge a fortune and then the chap comes

to see me at SJVC! There's no meaning in this.

I will tell you a few tips on this matter. Draw your own chart and

determine the astakavarga charts. then determine the highest points, after

reduction in each of the charts along the four major directions. This should

give the major direction of the room/activity in your house for you to live

happily in it.

None of the so called Vaastu experts will even ask for your chart, let

alone making the AV charts. As an exercise for the benefit of all, start

with the AV chart of Venus and let us determine the direction of your

bedroom and other details.

Blessings

Sanjay

Namaste Sat Siri and Sanjay,

Maharishi Sthapatya Veda is a possible source. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

has been working on bringing out the Vedic literature, including

Jyotish, Sthapatya Veda/Vastu, in its purity. Jyotish charts of

owner, and other relevant details are drawn prior to plans for a

building being constructed. Events such as groundbreaking are done at

appropriate times. A slight drawback is that many things Maharishi

makes available in the US are priced according to Mahrishi's

perception of what Americans can afford and what he feels are

American's obligations to help developing countries develop: i.e.,

with money. But people living in homes and working in offices

designed by Maharishi Sthapatya Veda report really glowing

experiences, not only spiritually but also with the mundane:

economic, health, etc. I feel reasonably secure, Sat Siri, that you

can get pure and effective Vastu from Maharishi Sthapatya Veda.

Pranaam Sanjay,

In my native state of AP (in India), there is a boom in

Vaastu business today. People are obsessed with vaastu.

But unfortunately what they do is very very simplistic

and silly. What they do is like saying " You are running

Venus dasa. Venus is a benefic. So you have a great

time " or " You are running Mars dasa. Venus is a malefic.

So you have a horrible time " . They do not look at what

different planets and directions stand for in ONE'S

horoscope.

Dr. B.V. Raman also refers to ashtakavarga's role in

vaastu in his book " Ashtakavarga system of prediction " .

Dear Steve,

That is very good. I have heard that some serious work is being done out

there. Thabks for the link. I know of swami Asutosh (Urs strobell) who is

trying to establish the perfect hermitage in the himalayas. If this happens

the Maharishi movement will get a big boost.

I shall be glad to receive any literature in my mail on this

(srath)

Best Wishes,

Sanjay Rath

Dear Steve,

Thanks for the reply and the link. I do feel concerned about the

amazing cost structures that the movement attaches to its services, even

after the rationale you mention.

For instance, checking the link you kindly gave and the link from that,

just to let you look at their floorplans, " for a limited time, in the

privacy

of your home, " they want you to enroll in the Maharshi Consulting Service

for a fee--to enroll-- of approximately 5.00 per square foot, which for a

2000 square

foot house comes out to $10,000.

I have heard glowing reports from people in Fairfield and seen some

of them from the outside, but I am more interested in custom design with

someone

knowing the vastu formulas.

Be well,

Sat Nam,

Sat Siri

Om Vishnave Namah

Dear Sat Siri,

I am prepared to take up this task for you. would you be interested? My

chaarges are very reasonanle. In exchange you will have to work out the

detailed horoscopes of the three Sikh Guru's (3 years time allowed for this)

and would have to publish them as books.

Second you have to pay for the registration costs of SJVC in USA (I

think this will be about 500 dollars or so..Please check with Kusha Devi).

If you are game, then I can work out the detailed vaastu calculations for

you on the basis of your birth chart. I would also need the birth chart of

your spouse.

i am happy to read that Maharishi people have accepted the idea of using

individual birth charts. My criticism over the years of the Vaastu practises

has worked on the intelligent minds of the maharishi people. It is sad that

those in India are so slow to respond and improve.

Steve please convey my deepest regards to Maharishi for this. As regards

costs, no further discussions here please.

Best Wishes,

Sanjay Rath

Dear Sanjay ji,

Done! it's agreed. I will send you a few sketches and the charts.

Snail mail

is the regular postal mails that allows sending papers and documents. Perhaps a

better

way is by fax. I will check with Kusha Devi. I am very honored to have you

request me to write about the Sikh Gurus'

charts, and I hope you and Manpreet Singh will advise me.

As Sani and Guru creep into Taurus, more earthly concerns enter our minds.

Lord Jagannath bless you.

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

My dear Gauranga,

> Pranaams.

May Vyasadeva give you the strength of the Vrishabha.

> Please, is it possible that we also learn something about this? I also

have a couple of

This knowledge is for the students of SJVC. Are they your students? If they

want the knowledge, then they have to take a Guru. Without the Guru

knowledge can never be complete.

the signs:

>

> Aries-Taurus East

> Cancer-Leo South

> Libra-Scorpio West

> Aquarius-Pisces North

> Gemini Southeast

> Virgo Southwest

> Sagittarius Northwest

> Pisces Northeast

No, the directions used in Astavarga for personal charts is

East for Agni trikona (Aries & trines)

North for Jala trikona (Cancer & trines)

West for Vayu trikona, (Libra & trines) and

South for Prithvi trikona. (Capricorn & trines)

> Because in Horasara in the chapter on Ashtakavarga it is said that fiery

sings represent

signs north. Which

This is correct for use in Astakavarga of the personal chart.

> 2. Ashtakavarga. Should the Ashtakavarga of the Rasi chart be considered,

or of the

> D-charts as well?

ONLY RASI CHART.

> 3. In the Bhinnashtakavarga the should the dots before reduction or after

be taken into

> consideration?

AFTER REDUCTION

> 4. What if two bhinnashtakavargas for two planets give the same sign as

the highest?

THEN BOTH SHALL HAVE THE INITIAL

> 5. Planets and rooms.

Rest Later. Let the chart of sat Siri be sent to this list.

Blessings

Sanjay
