Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Gurudeva, Pranaams. I have a few thoughts regarding Rahu in Sri Rama's chart. Please evaluate them. Rahu represents Rakshasas. Let's see the events connected with them. 1. Surpanakha meets Rama and longs to become His wife. If Rahu indicates her, then the Graha Dristi of Rahu will shoe her desire. Rahu gives Graha Dristi on Aries, which holds AL and UL, indicating both love for Rama and envy of Sita. Rahu is under the Rasi Dristi fo Venus, this shows her amorous feelings towards Rama, and is in Jupiter's sign, which shows her good intentions (which were still improper). Rahu being in the 6th, Rama took her to be an enemy, and cut off her nose and ears (Mars in the 7th - violence towards the lover). Why was Rama against accepting her? Because A7 falls into Aries, which is AL (what will hte others say?) and UL (what will my wife say?) and 10th house as well (showing example - ekapatni vrata). All this happened in Saturn's Dasa, which lends a graha Dristi on Rahu, therefore someone may criticise Rama as being dishearted and cruel, and being unfair to her for giving her this punishment. Yet, this again goes back to the previous life of Surpanakha, fromwhere this curse emerges. I don't remember the exact story, maybe someone knows it on the list. Saturn also lends a Rasi dristi on A6, which is owned by Rahu, so Rama punishe her without sentiment. 2. Ravana kidnaps Sita Ravana is also represented by Rahu positioned in the 6th and lording Satru Pada. Ravana,s desire to have Sita may be also explained by the Graha Dristi of Rahu on the UL. How could he kidnap her? Rahu lends a Rasi Dristi on Venus. Actually we can see from the chart that this is only superficially true, as Venus is in Jupiter's sign (inseparable from Jupiter, which is in Lagna together with Moon Lagnesh, signifying Rama) and she is exalted, while Rahu is debilitated. So how could Ravana kidnap Sita? This is impossible. Therefore Lord Caitanya revealed from the Kurma Purana, that Ravana actually kidnapped Maya-Sita, Her illusory replica, while the original Sita was protected by Agni, the fire God (Upapada in Aries). 3. Rama defeats Ravana Although Rahu is in 6th and lords A6, therefore Ravana and all the other Rakshasas could cause problems, still, he's debilitated and in Jupiter's sign, so Rama would emerge victorious. Also, 7th Bhava shows the death of enemies, and exalted Mars is there. So Mars is the lord of AL, therefore shows Rama's victory with the help of Hanuman (Mars). Also, Rahu is in Panaphara, and aspects all the other Panapharas (3rd - brothers (they had hardships because of Rakshasas as well), 9th-dharma, also with Venus (wife) and A5 (Ravana's kidnapping became the indirect reason for Rama's sending Sita to the forest, where she gave birth to her two sons, which happened in Venus Dasa.; and 12th is also aspected by Rahu - thsi house is the 7th from Rahu's position, so is Mrityu Pada for it. Also, lord of the 12th is Mercury, which is in the 6th from Rahu. rahu is also under the graha dristi of Saturn, which is in the 11th from it, so saturn's pediod gave hardships and eventually death for Ravana. Rahu also aspects the Sun and Leo sign with a Graha dristi, so Ravana tried to do harm to Rama, but he was ultimately defeated, as the Sun is exalted, while Rahu is debilitated. 4. End of all Rakshasas in Rahu period The Rakshasas that were left after Ravana's death were devoted to Lord Rama and were lead by Vibhisana (Rahu is in Jupiter's sign). The period of debilitated Rahu however brought about their death, but all the Rakshasas were liberated (exalted Jupiter and Moon in Cancer in the 8th from Rahu).
