Dear Jyotishas,

Varahamihira talks about many forms around sun and gives various

results for the same. Can someone say anything about this.

I think this omen of Sun Pillar is akin to Shiva Linga (Jyoti

Linga). And the observer and the location may get some auspicious

results.

SUN PILLAR: The sun was rising in New Albany, Ohio, yesterday when Ed Kreminski and sons spotted a bright shaft of light leaping up from the eastern horizon. " My youngest son thought it looked like a fiery tornado. "
