Dear Chandan, Namaskar.

Changing the Rks in ANY way changes the mantra. You need to be

initiated for this... yes even aum.

In Puri they do Homas and Havans all the time and this is a regular

part of the Puja. Get someone from there and ask them.

Yours sincerely, Visti Larsen

dear visti ,namaste.

thanks for replying as i had left all hope of receiving a reply.

so are we supposed a add aum before the mantra ? would it not change

the vibration of the original mantra and also its effect?

for example mangal mantra would just be recited as is ..:

agnirmurdha divah kakut patih

prithivya ayam apam retam si jinvati

also , the bphs mentions doing a homa with either 28/108 offering after

the specifed count has been reached? what if we are unable to do the

home ourselves or cannot find somebody qualified enough to do a proper

homa.

i stay in mumbai , india and here it is very rare to find real qualifed

people.

humble regards,

chandan s sabarwal.

Dear Chandan, Namaskar.

It means you are quite pious and dharmic as now the Dharma Devata is on

the Lagna. Can also mean you will learn a spiritual subject in great

detail. However, as usual with most Jupiter Atmakarakas their self

confidence in matters of knowledge is blameworthy. The tradition will

recommend the worship of Mars as either the Bhimashankara Jyotirlinga

(Sri Kashinatha Ratha's advise) or Mahavidya Sri Bagalamukhi (Sri

Sanjay Ratha's advise).

Hope this clarifies.

Yours sincerely, Visti Larsen

Jaya Jagannatha

Dear Chandan,

Namaste

I’d like to add that there are

only certain lunar months in the year for you to be initiated into any gayatri

mantra. Since the period of shraddha arrives tomorrow, shouldn’t your

initial problem be to offer oblations to the pitris to appease them first

before you consider embarking on a search for diksha?

Love,

Swee
