However, my concern was against one particular

statement - " Synthetic

gemstones have no effects " . The effect is

there, but we do not have any

reference to understand their effects. Puranas

couldn't have written about

not using synthetics as they weren't being produced

that time. When Sastra

know-how is missing, we tend to infer based on

physical, chemical, and other

properties or we can experiment.]

 

You are wrong in your statement. Please refer to the

Puranas again. They clearly state that genuine ones confer the blessings as

stated and fake ones made from glass, copper etc., do not. Imagine how long ago

these statements were made, and the sages already knew that man-made - lab

grown gems can be “grown” with copper and the “seed”

crystal. Wow!

Except for a natural crystal in the diamond to

install, for emeralds, even the off cuts are to be discarded.
