Assignment: Characteristics of Lagna-Sagittarius

Here is my answer to the assignment...

 

Characteristics of my Lagna- Sagittarius based on the following 22 points.

 

1. Physical Appearance:

Medium height (5ft 8in), tending to be corpulent (as sag. is a watery sign).

Wll formed body. Graceful looks (lorded by devaguru Jupiter). Browny-black

hair. Oval face. clear eyes. Not so sharp nose. Evenly set teeth.

 

2. Personality:

Personality can be seen from all the houses. As different houses control

different aspects of human nature, their attitudes, values etc. As far as the

general indication of rising sign Sagittarius is concerned, they are inclined

towards dharma (9th house of natural zodiac). They respect their gurus and

elders. The 8th is ruled by Moon and 12th sign is Scorpio- this gives occult

tendency. They are independent in spirit as signified by Jupiter. They are

intuitive because the house of intuition (I hope it is 3rd) ruled by Saturn,

the planet which gives higher curiosity.

 

3. Traits to be corrected:

Short tempered, a bit inclined to Bhoga (fulfilling the desire), may be

inclined to alcohol (though I don't take it). (Please tell me how to see

them)

 

4. Professions:

The professions will be indicated by 10th house and all those houses which has

argala on the 10th . They are 1st , 11th and 8th. The 10th sign in Virgo,

ruled by Mercury, 11th is Libra, ruled by Venus and 8th is Cancer ruled by

Moon along with Sagittarius ruled by Jupiter. The professions indicated are

Astrology (Jupiter and Mercury), priesthood (Jupiter), teaching, law (Jupiter,

as Mars also has argala from 12th) any art form such as Music, dancing drawing

(Venus and Moon), Trade (Mercury), mostly in watery substance (Moon and

Venus), bureaucracy (Venus).

 

5. Business and Finances:

This can be seen from 2nd (dhana) and gain (11th). The 2nd is Capricorn ruled

by Saturn and the 11th is Libra ruled by Venus. Saturn indicate big

undertaking or venture.

 

Business and other partnership venture is seen from 7th - Gemini lorded by

Mercury. The sign being lorded by mercurial mercury, there will be frequent

changes in the Business.

 

 

6. Ideal Match:

Match is seen from 7th(Gemini-Mercury). We can also see the signs in trine to

7th i.e., 11th (Libra-Venus) and 3rd (Aquarius-Saturn).

 

7. Romance and Marriage:

Romance and Marriage is seen from the 7th. The native will be romantic and

changing in his behavior (Gemini).

8. Relationship and sex:

This is seen from the 7th (Gemini-Mercury) and 12th (Scorpio- Mars). The

native will be sensitive as far as relationship is concerned (Mercury) and

somewhat secretive (Scorpio). The relationships will not last very long

(Nature of Mercury) Mars as twelfth lord show vigor in sex.

 

9. Domestic environment:

Seen from 4th (Pisces). There will be high understanding and trust among the

family members. There will be cordial environment. There will be high

influence of Guru and elders in the family. These are the indications of 4th

lord Jupiter.

 

10. Health:

8th is Cancer owned by Moon- a watery planet. The 6th is Taurus owned by

another watery planet. The native will have more watery diseases like asthma,

cough and cold (Moon). Because cancer represent the chest region in natural

zodiac and Taurus represent the Throat region, the problems will be related to

these parts.

 

11. Hobbies:

Sagittarius represent a playing sign- the native will like playing. 2nd

(Capricorn-Saturn), 4th (Pisces-Jupiter) and 11th (Libra-Venus) have argala on

the 1st. The hobbies indicated by them are reading of Philosophical books

(Jupiter and Saturn), Music (Venus and aspect of Mercury), Art, solving

puzzles (Mercury's aspect on the 1st) etc.

 

12. Moods:

Somewhat lethargic (Sagittarius), generous and forgiving, always trying to be

active and in good mood (Jupiter). The Lagna being a dual sign there will be

change in moods quite often. The native will forget and mishaps or ill

feelings for someone, soon and will not stretch it too long (dual sign).

 

13. Fabrics:

Seen from the 12th (Clue from gurudev-why we wear fabric). 12 is ruled my

Mars- the fabric will be coarse (I hope). Mostly cotton. Please guide!!!

Bed is seen from the 12th -Mars-Scorpio. How to see that??

How to see that?

 

16. Safety/ Daring:

courage is seen from 3rd, Aquarius-Saturn- Fixed sign-fiery. The native will

be daring and will not loose hope in worst of the situation.

 

17. Herbs:

The herbs are that of the herbs ruled by 1st and the trines to them i.e., 5th

and 9th. The herbs will be that ruled by Jupiter, Mars and Sun.

Most lucky day- Sunday (9th)

others- Thursday (Jupiter-1st); Tuesday (Mars-5th)

Most lucky- Red (Ruby- Sun-9th)

Others- Yellow (Jupiter-1st); Red (Mars-5th)

Most lucky- Ruby/ Manikya (Sun)

Others- Pokhraj (Jupiter); Red coral (Mars)

 

21. Lucky numbers:

Most- 1(ruled by Sun)

Others- 3(Jupiter), 9(Mars)
