Dear jyotisha,

Pravrajya yoga: a yoga leading to renunciation of the world.

Phaladipika 6:28 Srikantha Yoga: lagna lord, Sun, Moon are in kendra

or kona

in exalted, own or friendly rashis.

BPHS 79:8 Moon in rashi of Mars and aspected by Saturn in

navamsha

BPHS 79:2-3 Four or more planets occupy a single house

Vipareeta Pravrajya Yog: Malefics in 3rd/6th from AL which are weak

or debilitated in Rasi/Navamsa

Example: Ramana Maharshi

has Jupiter in third from AL for spirituality. Jupiter is vargottama

and strong.

He has a vipareet raj yog by having 12th lord Mercury and 8th lord Venus

together in 2nd. Mercury is a Kevala Yogoda by aspecting Lagna Lord,

7th from lagna, being in GL, and aspecting HL and being dispositor of of

Moon and being Subhapati.

Mercury is a Kevala yogoda in Navamsa also. Same in D-3 where Mercury

aspects GL, is in HL, and associateswith Subhapati Saturn which

exchanges with Moon. Mercury aspects lagnesh also in D-3.

Thus this vipareet rajyog satisfies the second condition of being

part of a very strong yoga which transfers power to the lagna lord. The

salient event in the Maharshi's early life was a near death experience

in Saturn dasha at age 17, which

transformed his consciousness forever. Perhaps instead of the death of

an ally or friend the extreme strength of the yogoda Mercury conjunct

lagna lord gave the near-death of himself.varahamihira
