Respects, Swee krushanain [krushanain]23 May 2001 20:38 Subject: 12th house Dear Donna and respected Peterji, When we compare 11th and 12th house, if points in 12th house are less then in 11th house, means the person is saving from his income. Or his income is more then his expenditure. This statement is relative. Only it means that the person fulfills his needs and save some. Suppose Saturn is situated in 12th house, (it's sight on 2nd, 6th and 9th house) indicates more expenditure, (No wealth/ property from father etc,) person do not care for money, In such case if points in 12th are less then 11th, indicates very good income. krushna

Guest guest
12th house represents Moksha, marital bliss, jail sentence, foreign travels and heavy expenditure. How does one distinguish which is the one that will fructify...if possible with examples. Thank you Prad
Guest guest
Dear Pradeep There is no definite rule to the answers. But yes, it is possible to judge intuitively looking at the relative strength and positions of planets in this house. This comes only with experience. For example, if 12th house concerns with significators of marriage like Venus, 7L or Jupiter, then it denotes marital bliss. If Rahu is associated and 12L is afflicted then jail sentence. If 12 house contains airy sign then foriegn travels. Sun makes you spend a lot in 12H. There are a lot of combinations. Its not possible to list them here. It comes only with experience. Guest guest
As per Bhrigu Sutras the following are some of the issues relating to the 12th house of the chart which I am copying for you: Loss and impediments, restraint and limitation, waste and extravagance, expenses, drudgery and deception, investments, donations, charities, separation from family, going to far away places, sorrow and sin, misery and misfortune, poverty, imprisonment, secret enemies, confinement in hospital, association, fraud, scandal, disgrace, secret sorrows, success through occult affairs, the feet, the left eye, the left ear, comforts of bed, debts, life in a foreign place and Moksha (final salvation). You may please note that depending on the planet, its various stages, natural/functional malefic and benefic relation to the house, horoscope etc. one needs to make out the results. However, Ketu is considered to be the moksha giver if seated in a good 12th house with benefic aspects. Jupiter+Ketu if well disposed may give high intent for spirituality and final moksha. A good house lord going into the 12th house will cause loss to the 12th house. However, if 6th, 8th & 12th house lords are there in the 12th house then it creates vipareeta raja yoga i.e. a functional malefic planet going into a functional malefic house will give good results just as two negatives make a plus in mathematics. The answer is very descreptive in nature. In general, the same rules will apply to getting the results as applied to other houses of the charts based on the planetary dispositions in the chart. Guest guest
This is one of the most difficult things in astrology or jyotish to master (I still don't know). But I can give some pointers. 1. Look at rasi chart and navamsa and a correct divisional chart to get some clues. If the rasi chart pattern repeats in navamsa, then that particular event might or potential that something will happen is that area will increase. 2. Look at the planets in 12th house, aspects on it and 12th lord. Examples: 4th lord in 12th house - during 4th lord bukti or dasa - one could go out of country, or buy a very expensive house or even a vehicle. Is is a vehicle or a house ? See divisional charts (if you have confidence in them). It could also mean that there is some family event at home leading to expenses (without any buying or selling of home or vehicle). It could also mean that family matters will drain your money - functions at home, relatives visiting. These kind of interpretations are tricky -but more charts one sees, the better one can get at. Other examples: 9th lord in 12 - good spiritually, luck in non-native places 5th lord in 12 - foreign education, problem or expenses due to first child etc. Jail Sentence: See charts of Gandhi, Nehru, Sanjay Dutt, and the Kanchi seer. There are many yogas (bhandana yogas to see or ascertain jail time). Dasa-bhukti has to be there / in opertion for some event to happen 6-12 axis - sickness leads to hospitalization. People are running bhukti of a planet in 6th - it could also lead to heavy expenditures/hospitalization. Guest guest
sorry to interrupt but i wished to give you clues. the bhavat-bhavam principles apply in all the following examples: 12th house is 9th from 4th house hence good results are experienced relating to the 4th house if 4th lord goes to the 12th house in natal chart or in transit chart. it may mean foreign residence, foreign travel, expenditure on house/property related matters. but again it will depend whether one will experience good results relating to the same if the said planet is well disposed. 5th lord going into the 12th house may give one education in foreign lands since that creates loss of education in one's native place. expenses relating to first child apply becuse 5th house is relating to first child and 8th from there being 12th house may cause loss to that aspect or gain depending upon the benefic/malefic nature of the planet's position into the 12th. if one applies the bhavat bhavam principle to the horoscope then one can get correct results relating to the significance of a planet in any house. best wishes, prakash kandpal , " chitra2pada " <nakshatras wrote: > > This is one of the most difficult things in astrology or jyotish to master (I still don't know). Guest guest
Dear Kanvarthy, I am sorry to interrupt here. Yes, I agree that certain understanding comes with experience and maturity. However, there are well defined notes on the planets in 12th house and for that matter for every house indicating good or bad. Foreign travel or foreign residence is seen from the 12th house for two reasons i.e. one since it is 9th from 4th house and 4th from 9th house so any planets in fixed signs in 12th house may indicate foreign residence or no foreign residence. Foreign travel is indicated when one has planets in airy signs. A person is spendthrift or emotional spender if he/she has fiery planets or has fiery sign in 12th house. Good planets in 12th house will indicate one's donations as well especially when good aspects or well disposed planets. Since 12th house is 11th from 2nd house therefore expenses become assets or wealth as well, spendings give you clothes, food etc. 12th house may also indicate your your partnerships in wars etc. or your win/loss in any war since it is 10th house from 3rd house. Further, moksha or chains for good causes or bad causes is seen from the 12th house because it the is moksha giver as well as moksha cancellation house. Therefore, any negative effect on the 12th house may indicate jail term while good planets may indicate spirituality or moksha. Application of bhavat-bhavam principle to any house or planet so related will give your good answers and correct answers. You may validate the same on your own. Guest guest
Dear Prakash Thank you for adding to my reply. I completely agree with the principles stated here by you. I appreciate the extensive discription given by you here. But the combinations are too many and it is difficult to list everything here itself. Continuous study of different charts will show us a definite trend and more precise predictions.
