Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Namaste Gauranga, > Dear Narasimha, > > Pranaams. > > You said you have signed me up with my bhrigu email address as well but the > site still answers:Oops, you are not a member. So how can I get in the files area? > They area sking for some password as well. What is it? > > Yours, Gauranga das I signed you up. But I do not know the password. Egroups assigns a random password to every new member. It will not give the password to other people. Egroups cannot know your email address when you visit the archives site. So it does not know if you are member, unless you sign in. You have to " sign in " . Click on " sign in " and enter your email address and password. If you don't know your password, you can ask to mail it to you. It will be mailed to bhrigu. Then you can enter it and sign in later. Once you sign in once, you can select " remember this password " . Then the email address and password will be stored on your computer and automatically sent to for verification everytime you log in. Steps: (1) Go to /messages/varahamihira (2) At the top right corner, you can find " Welcome Guest | Register | Sign In " . Click on " Sign In " . (3) You will be prompted for email address and password. Enter the exact email address with which you d to varahamihira (bhrigu in Gauranga's case). (4) You can find " If you cannot recall your password, " at the end of the paragraph on the left. Click on " click here " . (5) In a few minutes or hours, you will receive the password in your email. Read it and do the above again. This time, enter the password. (6) After the password, there is a box and " Remember Me " . Check the box, unless the computer is shared by people who should not access varahamihira. (7) You can access files and archives of varahamihira now. If you checked " Remember Me " , you will automatically be signed in everytime you try access varahamihira archives/files. If you don't check it, you will have manually sign in everytime. I hope this is useful. I am forwarding it to varahamihira, because someone else may not know this and hesitate to ask. BTW, I checked and the email address (bhrigu) is in the member list.
