Guest guest Posted August 19, 2009 Report Share Posted August 19, 2009 This, like any other internet jyotish-centric forum probably has many generations jostling with one another, hopefully mostly across and not against the 'grain'! As I skim through the threads here or anywhere else for that matter and increasingly so in the last several years, I am reminded about old times when phones were based on PBX technology, if I recall the acronym correctly! Once in a while and not infrequently, we would get what were known as Cross-connections! You ended up being connected to phone conversations that were supposed to be PRIVATE but due to poor connections or poor PBX or whatever, you suddenly became party to what could be a very private conversation between two lovers or a husband and wife. And they may very well be fighting tooth and nail and not realizing that they are on PUBLIC CHANNEL! My sympathies go with those distraught " couples " who were caught in a poorly executed technology and had not idea that their bedroom window was wide open when they were fighting tooth and nail, but that was then! On internet we have facilities for public conversations and there are private conversations, even on fora! Yes we have not rid ourselves of CROSS-CONNECTIONS or as audiophiles shudder from - Interchannel-Crosstalk! Kind of shatters the STEREO-IMAGING! Sorry for messing up with the SIGNAL-TO-NOISE Ratio!!
