Guest guest
Hi Marg, Me neither! I have only read that chapter co-authored by Martin and his Danish collaborator (name escapes) and his many messages on the earlier list. Times change or perhaps our perception does with the passage of TIME! My money is on the latter! With his Danish co-researcher he had developed the progression-based theory regarding the Nadi readings. They wrote a chapter in Houck's Anthology (36 teachers) which was a beautiful modern Jyotish collection and when last interacted with, was trying to create a body of evidence to support and illustrate the concept. > > While he had strong convictions, he was never disrespectful in a personal way, but of course back then, in jyotish lists of the kind that Ben introduced, there were fewer flame wars that utilized personal attacks, expletives and 'emotional outbursts', etc! > > Best regards, > > Ranjan > > , " Marg " <margie9@> wrote: > > > > Yes I agree we had the wonderful Mr Rao, who often did tell us how it works and I still have some of his posts to remind me of jyotish techniques that still work, also we had Finn, bless him, and I so miss his little gems of wisdom and his forever uplifting us with maturity of insight and experience, and then there is Chandrashekhar who also had many nuggets of jyoitsh wisdom to share, and often seemed like an ancient sage who at the last minute would reply to begging posts for free readings where no one else had time. > > Miss them all and many more, like Marc Ben's friend who posted many extended thesis on darakarakas etc some copies of which I still hold dear. > > Aaaaha those were the days, inspiring ......then of course Martin Ganstein writing his thesis forever talking about Pingree......everyone helping shape his ideas and me often getting annoyed with him, poor martin. he came across to the UK recently to deliver a talk on western astrology but sadly I couldn't go along and be yet a further ....but unintentional.....thorn in his side... > > > > I think the difference nowadays is there is so much pressure to be on this or other site or group on the net, I find it hard to keep up and reluctant to lose or sell my soul to the ether......real life beckons more invitingly than virtual realities........but those days were good, thanks for the memory > > M > > > > > > > > - > > Manoj Kumar > > > > Friday, October 16, 2009 10:11 AM > > Re: Jyoitish List... > > > > > > Yes those were the days where there was so much wisdom flowing all around. > > > > regards, > > > > Mouji > > > > ________________________________ > > rohinicrystal <jyotish_vani@> > > > > Fri, October 16, 2009 2:31:41 PM > > Jyoitish List... > > > > > > Years earlier -- as I was moving from the largesse of pre-internet reality to what we have now, Ben Collins allowed us a venue on Internet and managed to attract the likes of KN Rao and S.
