Dear (Utkal) jee,

 

Please do not take this personally or in any way, shape or form a feeble attempt

to antagonize you or your stand but your posting did create an " AHA! " based on

something that was shared by one of my friends who simply adores astrology but

never ever really got focused enough to learn or to even try! He has problems

with handling emails let alone a full astrology program!).

 

He is kind of ancient in human years and comes to chat with me and have chai

from time to time and to waste my time! I love him to death, of course ;-)

 

He has this penchant for watching the Weather Channel and once mentioned about

this " Rose_Marie " person who he was so much taken by quite a while ago! She,

according to him, still does weather reports although has gracefully aged since

then. He never talks about her in anything but the most respectful sense but I

can sense very clearly that he is " smitten " by her, the poor dear!

 

One day, I cruelly suggested: *name* -- why do you even watch this stupid

weather channel? They are never right and you can find ... (Thank God, I bit my

tongue right then...!) :-(

 

His face stiffened up for a second. I must have made excellent tea for he took a

big sip and looked me straight in the eyes and said, " Rohini -- Do you think I

care much about the weather! I do not go out much, anyways ...! "

 

I almost MELTED then! How wonderful...! Ancient may scare some of us younger

folks, but there is a comfort in a long-term Familiarity, no matter how DISTANT!

Sir,

 

You are right astrology is rather more helpful in predicting natural

disasters and weather (at least rains) then weather TV channels.

 

You postings are good to read, I like reading them, but, poblem is, in

order to get your ponint's accepted you can criticize and appeciate same

thing at the same time, You criticized saints like Vivekananda and

Yogananda and then appreciated their contributions and also about

spiritualiy.

 

This way, momentary gain can happen but that happens at the cost of

reliability and gravity which you certainly own.

I thank you (Utkal_jee) for your kind words of appreciation (?) towards my

humble offerings that I dare offer in the midst of august groups such as these

-- but why so many typos, Sir?

 

But why write in such a hurry and under such duress and with such urgence?

 

If you took the time to read -- I did not criticise EVER the Saints but perhaps

the personal impressions of those who may have wanted to give the impression

that they were able to figure out SAINTS like Swamiji and Yogananda_jee -- from

the DISTANCE that Astrology sometimes brings about and offers!

 

I have never lost faith in the SCRIPTURES, but just questioned the Translators

and Interpretors!

 

That should have been obvious, but perhaps was not!

 

Spellings reveal a lot about the current state, by the way!
