Guest guest
Dev Sahib (and others), The problem with modern Jyotish is that no one is happy and no one is sure! Hence, so many discussions and " Trust ME I KNOW...! " type statements and claims. Hence we end up with: Ayanamshas New Techniques New interpretations of Techniques NEW SYSTEMS! NEW CALCULATIONS!! MULTIPLE SOFTWARE NEW GURUS and PATRONS!! MORE DISCUSSIONS... IF ANY OF THESE WERE REAL SOLUTIONS -- then ALL discussions and dissensions and POLITICS would have stopped long ago, would they have not? The problem with all these discussions and discussants is simple! They are no convinced themselves and always seek strength in NUMBERS! People on Internet have always been worried about Astrology falling in wrong hands and they have quoted earlier Jyotishis such as Varahamihir etc who have enumerated the Supatraas and Kupatraas who must receive the blessings of Jyotish! I have never been worried about such considerations! Jyotish is strong enough to look after that! Who " gets it " and 'who does not!' The best service that jyotishi can offer is towards the Jataka and that is how Jyotish shall always remain alive and always has! Not through discussions on internet! :-) Now, please continue with the usual program of Astro-fencing!
