Dear Mr Kaul, You wanted to know where names of planets are given in

vedic texts, I am surprised to see why you never tried to find out them

and why you falsely stood to claim that vedic texts doesn't mention name

of planets, pls stop circulating such mails. I give you the reference

of Boudhayan Dharma Sutra, 2nd Prashna, 5th Adhayaya, 9th khand. In 9th

khand, TARPAN Vidhi explaind, 9th sutra says - Aum Adityam (Sun)

Tarpayami Somam (Moon) Tarpayami Angarakam (Mars) Tarpayami Budham

(Merc) Tarpayami Brihaspatim (Jup) Tarpayami Sukram (Venus) Tarpayami

Sanaischarm ( Sat ) Tarpayami Rahum Tarpayami, Ketum Tarpayami. Aum

Keshavam Tarpayami, Narayanam Tarpayami, Govindam Tarpayami.... Hope it
