Guest guest
Dear Raj Rao... Thank you for your post. Certainly there are many of us who appreciate your efforts and hope these rules will be helpful. It is unfortunate that this list has deteriorated into a hostile environment, which is not conducive to participation. Now, maybe it is time to renew our efforts to build a nurturing newsgroup that tolerates different points of view. Best wishes to all, David Hawthorne, M.S., J.B. Guest guest
Besides these, perhaps a small clause suggesting that " if anyone is promoting his research/findings on the group, due credit must be given to the contributor, but it should be supported with worked examples " . Such a clause can be added after due consideration and opinion of members of the group. regards, Manoj ________________________________ suresh Hattangadi <hattangadi_suresh Wed, April 21, 2010 2:14:17 PM Re: Moderation  Dear Mr Raj Rao, It is a pleasure to read these rules. For a long time I have observed that members abused others on the forum. There was utter lack of respect for decorum.I welcome your suggested rules.Thank you. Guest guest
Manoj ji, I have a suggestion, if I may tremblingly present to this August gathering with appropriate temerity of the great unwashed? Perhaps a RESEARCH FILES area can be opened where RESEARCHERS can create their folders and post their research findings and subsequent evidence etc there? Instead of in bits and pieces on the discussion forum which by the very nature of it is saccadic at its best and not conducive for serious, transparent, and continuing discussion? discussion groups permit that and when a file is posted allows the author to announce the posting of the file to all publicly. Surely, no one would object to those announcements, even if many " do " to the disjointed discussions! Then interested readers of such files and sharings would be able to initiate discussions publicly or privately with the " researchers " ! Just to clear any " MAL-ARIA " that my suggestion may cause, I gingerly add -- " My two cents just for kind consideration " by the forum and admin.
