Guest guest
The stotram written by Jayadeva on Dasa Avataras of Shree Vishnu is nothing but the 10 forms towards human evolution. During the first phase of Creation, this whole world was devoid of land, there was no existence of life. The water started " thickening " …known as " Primordial Broth " or in Sanskrit " Ksheer-samudra " …. & that very watery became suitable for life. The first living creature was born during that time…known as " Fish " or Matsya Avatar….Jayadeva in his Dasa Avatar Stotram said about Meena or Fish- Dhrita banasi vedam….this Veda does not mean the holy scriptures…rather Fish tried to retain the way of procreation. Then comes Kurma rupa or tortoise..the water has thickened enough… lands have started forming…still the creatures cannot live independently in land…they often live in water also live in land (or amphibians). Kurma was smeared with clay n mud while getting on the land from the water…this is Kurma's " Dharani Dhaaran… " Then comes Varaha..now he is an inhabitant of Land…still cannot forget his attraction towards watery…that's why he stays in muddy places…he is a mammal now, has leant how to procreate..his natural habit is to rub his teeth against the places he lives..this happened during the Paliosin-Yeosin phase of Senozoik period..during this time, the Himalayas started forming… The fourth Avatara is " Nrisimha " …Now he is half man…half animal….the transition phase.. & this happened around 1.5-2.0 crores year before. Bhagavaan Nrisimha deva, killed the demon Hiranyakashipu by using his nails. During the course of evolution, it was a trial to mitigate all obstacles to growth..Some opine actually all worms, insects were killed by the " half man & half animal " (or modern day Chimpanzee, baboon etc)..for their existence & they use their nails.. Then comes Baman avatar..tha man can walk in their feet..still they use their hands for support ..he is short heighted…n this occurred during the Pleiosine period. Now that Bamana Avatar has transformed into a full human being i.e., Parashuram..he is not a Kshatriya…he is Brahman…that's why he uses his brains..he has " Parashu " in his hands….he knows how to use fire… he killed King Sahasrabaahuu Kaartabiryarjuna & made this world devoid of Kshatriya for 21 times & also killed his own mother. Its true..that human beings never have 1000 hands…but the Arjuna Tree has 1000 branches…the man fell down those trees for 21 times for making the world suitable for living……n his contribution towards agriculture was " killing the mother " that is ploughing for crops n paddy. Now, the Man is fully grown…he can make good use of his brains…. & have started becoming " Human " … Then comes Shree Ramachandra…he uses " Dhanush & Baan " …or Bow & Arrow… Parashuram lost to Shree Ramachandra..as Ramchandra used long distant weapon…which Parashuram didn't know how to use..so he had to leave..the seeds of cleaning land by cutting down trees, was further progressed by Shree Ramachandra by establishing towns n cities, kingdoms et…. How Haladhari ram comes as the 8th Avatar…he uses a plough…the epitome of civilisation was found in Sumer…the civilisation flourished through Knowledge & also through agriculture…..Shree Narayan appeared in every human being " Mamaivaamsho Jivloke Jivbhuta Sanatanah… " … Now comes the 9th Avatar….Bhagavan Buddha…he said nothing other than " Ahimsa Paramo Dharma… " as he could see that his next Avatar will use the power of thermo nuclear power to destroy this world…. " Kalki " … -----Lovers of Vishnu please dont get hurt by this article..Even i am an ardent follower of Vishnu & i worship Vishnu daily.. Guest guest
This is an interesting speculation on the different avatars. Obviously avatars are appearing in life forms which have lower forms of consciousness to life with higher consciousness. However how does that prove Darwinian evolution? Darwinian evolution is not supported in Vedic literatures beyond the similiarities in orders of Vishnu's appearance. As Lord Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita 10.6 " The seven great sages and before them the four other great sages and the Manus [progenitors of mankind] come from Me, born from My mind, and all the living beings populating the various planets descend from them. " There is actually a top-down evolution where Lord Krishna (as Maha-Vishnu) progenerates highest living beings (Lord Brahma) and then those living beings procreate or progenerate to provide bodies for souls with lower consciousness. This is according to the Srimad Bhagavatam, the cream of Vedic literatures. I am very sorry I cannot provide exact canto and chapter numbers. If there is interest I can research properly. See the stories of Mother Aditi and Mother Diti the mothers of the demigods and demons. The different progenitors of the universe are created by the Lord to give bodies to the different souls held in the " womb " of Lord Maha-Vishnu. First great sages are procreated from Lord Brahma's mind, then those sages procreate further to give bodies such as humans and then insects. This is the vedic version. Trying to draw allegories from the Vedas as you are doing is fine as long as it does not contradict the Vedic version which is unfortunately what you are doing. Are you saying the demigods and presiding deities of the planets like Brihaspati have evolved from stone and other dull matter? This is opposite of the Vedic teachings. Thank you, Amala Gaura dasa sohamsa , " " <gg_0202 wrote: > > The stotram written by Jayadeva on Dasa Avataras of Shree Vishnu is > nothing but the 10 forms towards human evolution. Guest guest
||Jai Ramakrishna|| Dear Amalagaura das swami, Thanq for ur note on my article..This message was written with a scientific perspective....Scientists or Archelogists or even historians say that Vedas were written like Puranas but will u agree with them????No...coz Vedas are feelings of the sages after their tapasyas n the truth that they saw after their tapasyas... Likewise...Vedas are sources of eternal truth.... I donno whether u have rigveda or not...in that Scripture..u will find stories of Urvasi & Pururava...in Rigveda they are pieces of wood, used for kindling fire...in if u read Puranas...you will find that Urvasi is the damsel of the heaven while Pururava is a king, whom Urvasi marries & begets a son...this refers to Fire that is achichieved by rubbing the two pieces of wood...to get fire for daily homagni..... The stories of Purana...be it 18 puranas or Bhagavat Purana..the gist of 18 puranas...have a scientific reasoning...which we dont think while reading the stotras or stories of Puranas... The Primamry gods of Vedic age were Indra, Surya etc...Indra rules our hands...that is it implies our workforce..Surya stands for Knowledge...in the Puranic..the trio of Hindus came up..viz., Brahma, Vishnu & Maheshwara... If you break the word " Vishnu " ..it comes to Vish+Nu...meaning...ones who is present in atoms of evry thing in this world....thus reiterating the words of Chaandogya Upanishad.. " Sarvam Khalu-idam Brahma... " ....wuetever is there is nothing but Brahma...thats y we say..Shabda Brahma, Anna Brahma etc... The trios of Hindu religion, though starts with Brahma...but Brahma takes birth from Narayan(not from Vishnu)...Narayan means who is encircled by water...or one who stays in water..in a scientific's eye...it is none other than amoeba..the source of animals....we know that amoeba can reproduce by multiplying its cells. etc... So from Amoeba...starts the procreation...from that plants,,animals...as in Taitteeraya Upanishad... " Sohakaamaayata..Bahuu sysam prajaayeyeti.. " ...then he desired to form into many.. & wut he did?? " Sa tapastatwaa...yadidam kincha...tat shristwaa... tadevaanupraabishat " ....He also did tapasya...then he created everything...whatever in this world. are created by Him...n then he entered into those (which he created)...This reminds me of two demons as stated in Shree Devi Mahatmyam...when Brahma...was doing Tapasya..two demons formed from the rubbish of Shree Vishnu's ears...tried to kill Brahma...as they were too powerful by Vishnu's boon....even Vishnu lost to them...so Mahamaya had to take a role..she did a wonder that those two demons were having an illusion.n they asked Vishnu wut boon does he need?? Vishnu said.. " please die in my hands.. " , then they said... " Kill in such a place which is devoid of water.. " Then Vishnu placed their head in his thighs.. n killed them by using his " Sudarshan Chakra " .. & their fat " Medh " ...was responsible for formation of land in this world..which was full of water during that time..n thats why earth is also called " Medini " ....anyways those two demons were nothing but obstacles for creation...who themselves became sources for formation of land... The trios of Hindu religions...r present in us only...we are creators..we are destroyers... & we are preservers....All that we need is to know ourself..which we dont do..Swami Vivekananda said, " each and every person is equaly & potentially divine.. " ...the divine being or " Brahma " is present in each n evry being..be it living or non living... As u said...in ur message about Diti & aditi...the sons from each of them are known as Daityas & Devatas or Adityas respectively...but one thing...they have only 1 father...those two forms are present in each & every human being...a single person has both good & bad qualities...often any of them supercede the other one...As u have read in Gita in " Daivaasur SampatBibhaga Yoga " ... I never defied the birth of planets or gods etc.... One day an atheist came to me & asked why do i believe in God & Astrology?? & wut do the 7 planets imply??How they can have an effect on us..when they stay too far from earth??Why dont we consider earth where we r staying?? I replied him with a calm expression...i said...The Sun reflects yourself & your father..The moon stands for your mind & ur mother..Mars states about ur bros n sisters, & also ur vigour & effort....Mercury stands for your communication..Jupiter states about your knowledge...Venus states abt ur desires & wife... & saturn your sufferances, dukkha & people under you...he was qt amazed...then i said...these people must affect you in your day to day life...these are nothing but your seven planets... Please forgive me for any shortcomings...I am only 20..so if any mistakeis their, please forgive me....
