Guest guest
Respected Gurus, I have a question. How to make the interpretation when a planet is both Badhakesh as well as Yogakaraka? I understand that Badhakesh concept comes from Jaimini and Yogakaraka concept comes from Parashara and there could be conflicts when we try to mix both the systems. I raised the same question in some other forum and I got a strict advice not to mix the two systems. However, I feel that there should be a way to use both the systems in harmony. I look forward for your guidance. Regards, Krishna
Guest guest
Dear Krishna; If I may be allowed to say that you are not correct. Parasara and JaImini do not differ with each other. Kindly read BPHS carefully and then you will come to the conclusion that Jaimini had elaborated further some vital aspects of predictive astrology. This is the reason Jaimini named his sutras as 'UPADESHA SUTRAS'. PARASARA" SCLASSIC IS CALLED 'BRIHAT HORA SHASTRA'. Sir, whenever you find any contradiction in two Rishis ,this means you require further study and understanding. A planet has many contradictory roles to play. Whenever, 7th lord for dual sign snd 9th lord for fixed signs create any raj-yoga,these planets will act as badhaka also. THIS MEANS that yoga will fructify with many difficulties and obstructions. ONE should pray Lord Ganesh. G.K.GOEL Krishnamurthy Seetharama <krishna_1998 wrote: Respected Gurus,I have a question. Guest guest
Dear Shri Goel ji It is badha sthana giving the trouble or badhkesh? In my understanding, to qualify as badhkesh, Prasna Marg provides for additional condition (i.e lordship of khara). Yes, planets in badhaka sthana, are diffiulty prone. regards / Prafulla Gang " A Burden is always on your head and a responsibility is always on your shoulders. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krsna The concept of Badhakesh that we use is explained by Harihara in Prasna Marga. In BPHS, Parashara speaks of badhaka relative to the obstruction of argala, it is on a more material level. Harihara explains that for the different signs different ‘badhaka’ houses are causing obstruction by the anger of the devattas, or as Guru Sanjay Rath explains, it will show obstruction through unseen things which require the propitiation of the devattas. This is why badhaka/badhakesh remedies are rooted in worship or actions to please the devatta of the planet causing obstruction. A planet can show both the anger of the devatta as well as raja yoga, dhana yoga, etc. In most cases to get the beneficial results of the yoga we will need to propitiate the devatta causing obstruction, after it is remedied the yoga will give good results, or the obstruction to it being fully activated will be removed. On the other side of the spectrum, you can have the badhakesh in a bad yoga…. the badhaka remedy should then be done first followed by the other remedies, or else there will be all sorts of obstruction to finding relief. All the ancient systems will work together harmoniously when you understand them. Even the Nadi texts just elaborate or explain what is taught in BPHS. Please compare the karakamsa chapter of BPHS and Upadesha sutras, do not be one of these people who talk without fully studying the texts they are talking about. Most people do not understand what is in BPHS, so how can they understand how Jaimini is elaborating on it and where he is adding. Guest guest
Dear Goel ji, Namaskar. Thanks for your reply. Your answer has strengthened my opinion that both Jaimini and Parashara teaching can be used in harmony. I was not happy with the guidance that I got from a different forum and hence I raised that issue in this forum to clarify my doubt. Thanks for your guidance.
