Dear Prabhakaran, SANGHTIK(16TH),VAINASHIK(23RD) etc are generally used in various chakaras where 28 nakshatra scheme is followed including Abhjit. In 27 nakshatra scheme 22rd will become Vainasik. As a matter of fact vainasik should be of utility mainly in chakaras. The confusion arose because CoVA and JHora computations are different. Hence I asked you about it.

I think, I will depend on Jaatak Paarijaat (/Guruji's Sarvotobhadra conference) for now.

Thank you,

I was planning to write an article hence was also looking for references

which I can quote. The phaladeepika does not give numbers, The only other place

I could find the numbers were in Jataka Parijata. Hence I asked for the

reference.

Can you also please tell about Maanasa naksatra too. Maansa as per CoVA is at

25.

Also JP says " jAtideshAbhikAtvyAH pa~NcavishAdinArakAH || 80|| "

Jaati, Desha is 25 and 26.

There was a variation given at 4th and 12th respectively (CoVA) Hence I asked.

The variation is by more tha 1 nakshatra difference so this could not be

explained by 27 vs 28 Nakshatra scheme. Hence I was looking for references.
