Namaskar All,

What is actually implied when we say Malefics in 9th block bhagya.Does

it mean one does not get what one is destined to ? or is it something

else? Also does this also lead to a 'fall' in dharma?

Please tell me when these effects can be seen( Dasha/AD/PAD) of

malefics?Or is it through out life? How can one overcome these ill-

effects?

Also if the malefic happens to be a strong yogakarak( e.g. Saturn for

libra lagna)then how will things get modified?

Thanks

Suchitra

Dear Srimati Suchitra-ji,

Namaskar. Please go throught Sanjay-ji's book (Vimsottari and Udu Dasas) uploaded in group and Visti-ji's mp3's in his website to learn about prediction of Dasa-Bukti-Pratyantar.

Malefics inevitably shows some negative results and hence some negative/delay in saubhagya. When a graha conjoins a house or provides rasi aspect, it shows a permanent influence. With various dasas, some variations of this permanent effect can come. Graha shanti and worship of devatas of negative grahas help in relieving the negative influences. One must note the results of actual karma from D-60. Rasi chart gives physical manifestation of that only.

In Libra-Lagna, Sani is yoga karaka in the 9th house gives auspicious results but late (Sani - Manda). The nature of results will be from significations of Sani. Budha is lord and if aspecting will increase auspiciousness. 9th house being seat of Guru, one should worship one's guru to get auspicious results. Here Budha is akin to Guru. Note that Shani is aspecting by rasi drishti the houses 6 and 12 of which it is a karaka. Being functional benefic, it tends to give some good results but will demand hard work.

Best wishes,

Sourav

Learned Members,

This is a very interesting set of rules about the Marana Karaka Sthana (MKS) placement of Grahas in the Varga Chakras that Visti has brought out. Some of my experiences in this regard are recorded hereunder:

Data: 11th June, 1972; 10:17:56 AM; Cuttack, Orissa, India.

This is one's own chart. Apart from the combinations for delay, adversity and some very interesting factors at play regarding the 10th House in the Rashi Chakra, let us glance first at the natal D-10 chart. Tula Lagna rises and Surya, Karaka of authority in work and job availability itself is placed in the MKS 'from D-10 Lagna' in the 12th House. Though formal education in law was completed in 1997, the work did not come till October, 2004. Sade-Sati, Amavasya Dosha, Shani-Chandra Yoga and Surya-Shani Yoga as well as the retrogression of the 10th Lord Venus in the Rashi Chakra indicate this. But the Sun as the giver of resources in work, as a primary Karaka for work, is placed in MKS from Dashamsha Lagna. This shows that the working personality will be wanting work in the first place and will not get it as the giver itself is in a death-like situation. However, Surya is also the Badhak for Tula Lagna and is well placed in the 12th House, leading to loss of obstacles after the manifestation of the 'no work' situation. In 2005 or so, Visti at SJC Attri had basically rectified the chart to get Guru in the 6th House to show the legal profession. The placement of the 11th Lord in the 12th also shows gains from abroad: till now this has manifested as consultancy returns in Jyotish from foreign lands and not 'corporate or big foreign legal clients from abroad as Visti thought at the time. This may come about.

The MKS plus Badhak situation of the Sun ensured that work began at the Supreme Court and at a law firm in New Delhi. Visti was 100% right about the nature of the boss, seeing Shani in the 9th House. He was also right about Guru giving a lot of resilience in the 6th House being retrograde.

Another application of the Marana Karaka Sthana is seen in the Tithi Pravesha Chakra for 2006-2007. In the TP D-10 chart, Lagna Lord Mercury is placed in the 12th House, MKS from the 6th House of service. Once the Supreme Court closed for the summer, I suddenly decided to not go back to my 'job' but started some independent legal work in bits and pieces in my home town. See the 7th House of private practice for lawyers, tenanted by Guru-Chandra-Mangal. I also tend to feel that the Tithi Ashtottari Antardashas of Jupiter give the results of Mars and vice versa while the Moon remains what it is. Mercury as the Hora Lord/ ruler of the year and the Lagnesh in the 12th House/ MKS terminated the job (6th House) due to own decision (Lagna Lord). The 7th House ensures that High Court work has started coming in.

The High Court work relates primarily to government (Sun) in the natal D-10 because the job is over and so the 9th House is decativated. The next results are given by the Sun in accordance with the lectures at both SJC Jaimini and London 2004. Note Guru dasha giving both Jyotish work and law, being Karaka for the same in the natal D-10. The decision to give up the job came in Mars PD, placed in the natal D-10.

Extending Visti's discussion with Rafal, Mercury in the 9th would act as MKS for the job maybe due to absence of concenmtration factors because of the nature of the boss. In the 12th, it comes due to loss to the personal work profile seen from the Lagna. Mercury in the 4th from Lagna will give lack of working attentivity; Mercury in the 7th might give lack of correct attitude in the interaction with people in the working environment; Mercury in the Lagna would again give a death blow to partnerships in work and interaction with others due to shifting stands and untrustworthy professional behaviour; Mercury in the 10th (as in my natal D-10) would give excessive shine and focus to the work you do as an individual to focus on the partnership or the interaction with the others: this will be so if Mercury is well-placed as a benefic as in one's own chart, else it may give poor learning abilities which may keep the partners at bay because the work the native will be seen to be doing will be too hazy, shifty and lacking definition for anyone to want a partnership or serious interaction. Mercury, notably, is the Karaka inter alia of professional skill, learning the work and information credibility and usage.

Visti's instruction can be used keeping in mind the career profile of the native. If the native is in service then judge the MKS from the 6th House of all the Karakas for the Dashamsha Chakra. I think it would be prudent to judge it also from the Lagna and AL irrespectice of the work profile because these reference points would always be important for any living working person. Also, because the recent paper by Sanjay Ji on marriage and Navamsha uses the A7 to time marriage, I suppose it is no longer in severe doubt that Arudha Padas, especially the AL, should be used in the Varga Chakra.

Regards,

Anurag Sharma.
