Shrapa & Dashas (From Srijagannath)

Dear Pranav,

As Visti said timing is always done from the Moola Dasha for curses.

But just to share a bit of personal understanding of this question

in the context of Vimshottari Dasha for example.

In my own case (11th June, 1972;10:17:56AM; Cuttack, Orissa, India)

the Moola Dasha of Rahu has been running since 1990! Even the other

Moola Dashas prior to that were those of planets involved in curses

in the 10th House: Matri Shrapa and Pitri Rina as too Amavasya

Dosha. Out of these the curse of Mother is the primary curse.

Basically Rahu Vimshottari Dasha ran from 1979-1997. Vimshottari

Dasha started from Chandra Nakshtra is mind-centric. It is focussed

on the mind of the native and how the native interprets life. This

Vimshottari Dasha coincided with adverse Moola Dashas. So the root

of the Karma being experienced, the underlying theme as it were, was

onerous and as Rahu participates in the Curse, the mental

experience, the societal experience was that of delusion,

recklessness, great mental pain, inexplicable suffering, vices (6th

House), ill-health (6th House)...So, the Vomshottari Dasha ruled the

way things were happening to the mind, which unless one is

schizophrenic, reflects accurately what is happening in life; even

otherwise the Moon indicates manifestation.

Even so, as Rahu is in the 3rd House from the AL, it ensured,

despite such clouding, good academic performance and entry into the

best public school in India. Thereafter, it continued to take one to

arguably the best non-technical college in India. But the

frustration and the hurt to the mind continued unabated. The real

Karma or the underlying reality of events was sour due to the Moola

Dasha. So the efforts were compounded.

Guru Vimshottari Dasha started while the Rahu Moola dasha continues.

The root of the Karma being experienced is still " mentally cursed "

due to the fact that Rahu Moola dasha particpates in the Matri

Shrapa, but the mental reality shown by the Vimshottari Dasha has

completely changed the manifest world, seen from the Rashi Chakra.

Guru brought Jnana, Sattwa, Jyotish, myth, very good health,

perspective (totally lacking, literally, in the Rahu Vimshottari

Dasha), comfortable financial surroundings and utterly altered the

landscape. But has the Curse of the Moon gone? No. There is the same

underlying element to the root Karma but is is also altered due to

the Vimshottari.

Guru MD ensures an 'understanding' of the suffering through Jyotish.

It also gives such surroundings that the curse is not severe in the

sense it was severe in Rahu. It is still identically severe 'in

itself' but as the landscape is totally changed, it feels different.

The Curse will only go with the Rahu Moola Dasha and the upcoming

Budh Moola Dasha has started knocking on the door. Pt. Sanjay Rath

says that as Jyotishis we must look for Nimitta as the average

person cannot catch them. Dashas start giving their results about a

year before they are to start.

In this sense some of the finer details of Karma might be attempted

to be understood.

Best Wishes,

Anurag Sharma
