Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Visti, Namaste The rajasic ideology of offering gifts to a brahmin is that he is able to “take away” some of that bad karma that one has. In the JD article, you will note that the image is carved out of a gemstone for the person offering a vrata. At the end of the vrata, this gemstone together with other items are offered. The gemstone carved out in this form (undertsnad it already has a life force) and when given away, the Brahmin continues to offer the prayers on behalf. That’s the basic ideology. If the person can afford such luxury to adorn on themselves, then they can also afford to lavish a gift. The Egyptians carved a symbolic “evil eye” to use as a talisman (kavacha) and the Muslims carved prayers onto the gemstone to use as a taveez (kavacha). So I wouldn’t say that it is 6th house related, but actually the 5th. When the 5th without variances from malefics the person will be at peace. There are several forms of charity and not subjected to any particular house. One can offer in charity and not expect anything. A donation of a Pearl (Mithun lagna) was given to me which was immediately given to my Guru. Another student (Tula lagna) donated 999.9 silver and this was also donated to my Guru. As soon a my Guru installed that Pearl made with that silver , both almost simultaneously had a RY, though I never intended anything of the sort. Funnily enough, both are now getting salaries in excess of $100K/yr – so it was from a zero to a 100 for both. Also, both were not aware of what I did with their gifts. Coincidental? I’d leave to you. Isn’t 12th house the house of generosity? Under which circumstances do you advise the donation of gemstones? Surely donation is an activity associated with the sixth and twelfth houses. I.e. for planets in twelfth house we fast, whilst for problems with debts and financial problems we advise donation to those entities associated with the A6 in the chart. These acts are meant to overcome ripus by GIVING or daana, whilst fasting and daana of other aspects of our life, such as lagna (health), fourth house (happiness) is prohibited as this actually diminishes the power of these houses. Guest guest
Untitled Document हरे राम कृषà¥à¤£à¥¥ Dear Swee, Namaskar Twelfth house shows giving, whether you do it out of your generosity (benefic influence) or out of force (malefic influence). This is analyzed from the 12th from lagna, arudha lagna and from the upapada itself. Your example doesn't clasify as a real example without the charts of these two mentioned lucky people. Please provide them, otherwise how can we justify your example? Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Visti, Namaste Suffice to say the mahadasa of Mithun lagna native is going through Guru badhaka period and the Tula lagna is going through Sani mahadasa with kantak Sani at the time. In Jyotishanava Navanitam, donation of gold is the remedy for Asvini nakshatra, scented articles for Pushya, feeding of the poor for Ashlesha, a vessel filled with sesame seeds for Uttara Phalguni, donation of clothes for Chitra etc . (Though donations and rituals at birth were more elaborate for my AK Moon in Ashlesha in gandanta.) Guest guest
Untitled Document हरे राम कृषà¥à¤£à¥¥ Dear Swee, Namaskar Donation of gemstones, gold, etc. is a standard part of many pujas and rituals. For the amavasya puja one is required to donate a collection of the five standard gemstones to purify the five tattvas. This is Parasaras advise. Now, question is when to do so, and if you feel uncomfortable sharing the birth details on the list, do email me privately and i will keep these under the strictest confidentiality.
