Mitigation of Curses - Mercury especially

Respected Gurujan:

 

How are curses on planets mitigated or annulled?

 

Are these done through worship of the Ishta or Dharma Devta? Or would Mahavidya worship help?

 

I have two examples of severely affliction to Mercury in the very immediate family, my younger brother and my new born son, with three malefics having dhristi. Identical cases both of them, these are Saturn through graha dhristi 3rd aspect, Mars and Ketu in conjunction with Mercury [also Rahu since he is anyway opposite Ketu]. In my brother's case instead of Mars it is the Sun which is one degree less than Mercury and Mercury is retro. In both cases Mercury is in the ninth house !!!

 

Actually my brother is running the Mahadasha of Mercury and he is not doing any good in his work, even after all efforts.

 

I would very, very thankful for clarifications, thoughts and some solutions.
