Namaste AllVedanta is not a path. It is a pramana. Since the error is in understanding, there is no becoming needed. Becoming is part of causation. Time, space and causation are superimposition on Brahman. They take the " endless " quality of Brahman and seem endless too. Time, Space and Causation are pervaded by Brahman. The Vedanta texts show that believing in the superimposition as the Truth is incorrect. Vedanta, therefore, is not a process or a path or a doctrine or a dogma, but a Pramana. As an person, who thinks him/her self to be separate and distinct, there is effort to complete oneself. As one feels incomplete and limited, in one's belief of oneself, the person takes to acquiring somethings to complete and feel Full. This effort is called Purushartha - which is of 4 kinds - Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. A person is born in a certain environment, to a certain set of parents, having some relatives, with certain physical body, different and unique instincts and a mind, without knowing how all these things were given to him or her. What comes " without calling " is Prarabdha or Destiny. Purushartha and Prarabdha are two facets of the same coin. If you say, I believe in " my karma " and not in Destiny - it means you believe in Purushartha and not in Prarabdha - which is a contradiction. Past purusharthas is current Prarabdha. Either you are free from both or you are with both. You cannot deny one of them. Either both are imagined or none is. If Yoga instructor Sri Ramdev or anyone else, does yoga as a purushartha, then, he is contradicting himself on account of not agreeing to Prarabdha. If a certain yoga asana gives a certain result, then, it means he believes in Causation. If he does, he has to believe in Time and Space too, for all three go hand in hand. Secondly, Time and Space are pervaded by Brahman - the one who understands this surrenders his/her self to the entirety. He/She, then, do not demand a certain result from the Entirety nor would ever contradict the usefulness of principles of Muhurta for those who have not been able to shrug off the effects of Time and Space. This shows Sri Ramdev is only towing the popularity line here and does not understand either Vedanta or Astrology. He is merely a yoga instructor and popular one. Let him do his good work and ignore his ignorant remarks, is all I can say. What else would you say to a person who does not believe in Gravity? - Perhaps a jump from the 10th floor is likely to convince him!
