e) I am not familiar with the computation of Narayan dasha yet. Recently I tried to look up articles in the files section of vedic astrology but the folder was empty. I reasoned that the compilation is underway and that I will wait for that and even more importantly, that I want to wait for the upcoming books to be released.

As Narasimah mentioned, you can wait for Gurudeva's book on Narayana dasa. Meanwhile, you can go to the file section of Varahamihira and check the Narayana dasa file. Or try the following link which will take you to the file. It is the compilation of some of the archived mails of Varahamihira and Vedic Astrology on Narayana Dasa.
