Regarding Exercise 3 of the lesson 14 Narasimha commented on Sanjay's

guide line:

" the 9th from any house is its primary protector " .

I need add'l clarification here - If the 9th from a FIXED sign is Badhak

Sthanas how does an obstruction

also become a primary protector?

Can you comment on this?

Dear Frank,

Fixed signs by nature are death signifying or end signifying. The chara rasi

in the ninth PROTECTS it by preventing its end or self destruction. How many

times have you seen these people behave in a stubborn and rigid manner about

something knowing all too well that what is rigid must break one day, and

they lack the flexibility needed for survival. Badhal is a fine concept and

needs to be understood in these lines.
