Guest guest
Hi all, I have set up a DB2/UDB database table with hourly GMT positions of all planets. I also have setup tables showing the dates of all solar eclipses and stationery dates/hours for all planets. These are relational databases and can be used to answer questions such as: " On what dates between dates A and B did planet C square/trine/oppose/conjunct degree D " " On what dates between dates A and B did planet C square/trine/oppose/conjunct the position of planet D on date E at hour F " when they are posed using SQL, a language used to query such databases. A number on this group seem to be into computers, so this probably will make sense to you. I have used an approximate Lahiri Ayanamsa using linear interpolation over a 100 year period - 1900 to 2000. So it is not perfect. However, it may throw up interesting answers, especially if the questions are posed in the form in of the second question avoiding using absolute degrees, since any variation in the ayanamsas will tend to cancel out. If anyone wants to pose some research questions of this nature, please contact me. If anyone wants a file with the dates for stationery movements or solar eclipses, I can email the text files for these. They may be useful for research.
