Guest guest
Daer Jaan, Namaste. - <jaan911 <varahamihira > Tuesday, May 29, 2001 3:31 AM [Jaya Jagannath] Planetary amsa's > While determining the strength of two raja yoga planets using > planetary amsas in varga charts. > > Do we consider the planetary positions in the hora chart ? since only > sun, moon and jupiter may obtain own or exalted amsas. For this you should use a different Hora chart. I use the following, although am not sure whether this is correct: If the planet is in the first half of the sign, it remains there, and if in the second half, it goes to the 7th house from it. Thus you get a Hora chart which may give exalted Amsas for any planet. > Do we only count the favourable amsas, or must we balance it with > debilitated amsas? My ratio says that both should be rtaken into consideration. > Planets taking part in yogas with Uttamamsa ( four ) or better give > excellent results. > What if planets with Uttamamsa had equal debilitated amsas? The results decrease. But you should note that exalted Amsas indicate karmic excellence or faults of the planets. DSo exalted and debilitated amsas should not necessaruly nullify each other, rather give mixed results (both positive and negative). This is because positive and negative karma also does not nullify each other, but rather manifests simultaneously. This is the world of duality.
