From my experience, combustion does not necessarily harm the planet; it does hurt the houses the planet rules however, adversely affecting these house's significations. Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Jaan, Yet another good question from you. comments are given under. Have you gone through the lesson 16? I seem to have missed your answers. - <jaan911 <varahamihira > Wednesday, May 30, 2001 7:40 PM [Jaya Jagannath] Combustion > the extract from Sanjay Guru's interview reads : > > 'Some astrologers opine that Mars cannot be combust because of its > name " Vakra " as > used in the relevant sloka for exceptions. RATH: LET US READ THE MAHABHARATA OR RAMAYANA TO UNDERSTAND THE EFFECT OF COMBUSTION OF MARS .. MARS IS AGNI ITSELF, SO CAN WE IGNITE FIRE??? IT IS A SITUATION WHERE A BUNCH OF FOOLS GET HOLD OF THE TAIL OF HANUMANJI AND TRIED TO SET " THE MONKEY " (GOD) ON FIRE.LITTLE DID THEY REALISE THAT HANUMANI WAS A RUDRA (MARS) AVATAR. WHAT WAS THE RESULT. HANUMANJI BURNT LANKA AND CREATED SUCH A DEVASTATING DAMAGE THAT LED TO THE FINAL DESTRUCTION OF RAVANA. POINT AGAIN. WHICH SIDE IS MARS IN?? IS THE RELEVANT QUESTION TO BE ANSERED WHEN MARS IS WITHIN THE ORB OF COMBUSTION. IT IS LIKE GASOLINE WITH THE POTENTIAL OF CREATING SUCH A POWERFUL AGNI..... > the last part is confusing too, mercury when retrograde is combust? RATH: NO, WHEN IN DIRECT MOTION AND WITHIN THE ORB, MERCURY IS COMBUST LIKE ALL PLANETS EXCEPT VENUS WHICH IS COMBUST WHEN RETROGRADE. > > how does being retrograde relate to the position of a planet in front > of or behind the sun viewed from the earth ? RATH: ALL PLANETS EXCEPT VENUS ARE BEHIND THE SUN IN DIRECT MOTION. HENCE COMBUSTION OCCURS. > if venus is retrograde, does this mean that venus is behind the sun > so is combust ? RATH: YES > > love > jaan > RATH: THANK YOU FOR YOUR AFFECTION REGARDS SANJAY RATH > > >
