Guest guest
Om Gurave NamahDear Jaan, Good Question. Is it just shadbala of these planets? Lets say some one has Rajyoga in Rahu dasa, then how can we explain this with shadbala.. Think again.. Guest guest
Om Jaya Jagannatha, Pranaams Gurudeva, Shadbala is used to identify who will actually deliver the results of the yoga. But to judge the strength of the luminaries we need to check their Vimsopaka Bala as they indicate the strength of a planet overall., and not concerned about a specific aspect of life. So to sum up: Specificity : Shadbala Overall : Vimsopaka bala Sun and Moon determine the extent to which YOGAS are fructified(not just one, but all) their overall strength is more important. But if Sun & Moon partake in a yoga then their Shadbala should be used to asses the extent to which the yoga will be fructified. Guest guest
Namaste Narayan. Let me try to put your words into simpler terms; Timing fructification of events: Shad Bala. Strength: Vimsopaka. Vimsopaka is in truth the same as evaluating the position of the planets in some vargas, hence the reason that some only use Rasi and Navamsa for the conformation of strength of the specific planet. But Vimsopaka is more acurate, and has a point-wise system thats easy to understand for the dimwitted astrologers, that Parasara also made reference to in the Astakavarga scheme. I personally think we should wait with asking our gurudeva these questions as he'll surely elaborate on them, when the time is right. Best wishes, Visti. - Narayan Iyer varahamihira Saturday, June 02, 2001 11:31 PM Re: [Jaya Jagannath] Rajayoga sustainence Om Jaya Jagannatha,Pranaams Gurudeva,Shadbala is used to identify who will actually deliver the results of the yoga. Guest guest
Dear Jaan, Namaste. I would give preference to Vimsopaka Bala and Vaisesikamsas in this regard, as Rajayoga is something that comes from past karma, so these strengths show the karmic influence of planets. The success of Rajayoga on the other hand may be indicated by Astakavarga Bala. What do toher Gurus think in this regard?
