Namaste,

In the chart of one of my gurus, he has Moon in the 12th from

Atmakaraka in the Navamsa indicating Istadevata as the Divine Mother.

The Moon is Shukla Paksha denoting Durga, and is aspected only by

Jupiter in the navamsa.

However in the Rasi, Moon is conjunct Saturn in the 5th house, and he

does do Kali puja. However Durga is the primary deity. Rahu in

Aquarius aspects Moon by Rasi dristi, along with Ketu and Venus. So

as I understand, Shukla paksha Moon with strongest aspect being

Rahu's gives the predominating influence of Durga. Out of the 16

vargas, Rahu goes into Gemini 5 times, Aquarius, Taurus, and Virgo

each one time. So Rahu is very strong.

Kali's influence is secondary, although Saturn is conjunct the Moon.

In his case the Navamsa lagna is the same as Karakamsa, so I assume

that he is following the correct path that his soul desires in this

life, and therefore has been naturally attracted to the correct

Istadevata.

Question 1) What about the other influences in the chart? Jupiter in

navamsa, and Venus and Ketu in the rasi? Do these show the other

forms of the Divine mother that he can successfuly propitiate, ie.

Tara, Kamala, Chhinnamasta and Dhoomavati?

Question 2) What gives the predominating influence on the Atmakaraka

planet in deciding the form of the divine mother? The aspects and

conjunctions in Rasi OR Navamsa?

warm regards,

Alex J
