Namasthe Narayan,

If you have not read books by Srila Prabhupada please read. He quotes all Veda and conform everything nicely.

Bagavad Gita, Upanishad and Srimad Bhagavatam are the best in this stage. For quick understanding, please visit www.hindunet.org and there are lot of information in it. I noticed, the understanding is depending on time factor with realise by Practicing seva to God. Those are not mere Mythology, but absolute truth as the form of Mythology.

There are lot, among us always ready to help, who are in service to God.

hope this will help.

thanks

Karu

Would you please consider providing names of some important philosophical books and their authors, which will aid all of us in our mission. There are lot of books on Puranas, Bhagavatam, Manu Smriti etc, but which ones are authentic in their translation.Your SisyaNarayanOM TAT SATArchive: varahamihiraInfo: varahamihira/info.html

Namaste.

My I be sold bold as to suggest that:

1. Yoga Sutras by Maharishi Pantanjli is top of my list.

2. Bagavad Gita - by Maharshi Mahesh Yogi is a refreshing look at this cornerstone of the Maha Barata. MMY has written only chapters 1-6 and owes humanity all 700 verses....

3. Please spend time with Srimad Bhagavata Mahapurana

4. Not to mention the staples of BPHS

5. more recommendations on Muhurta, Nakshatra, Hora Ratnam ( by Bala Bhadra), etc. if you wish.

There are many( many ) more by the tradition of masters that we can read.
