Guest guest
Namaste Narayan, Yes JHL does provide Sahams, but my analysis suggests that the Natal Sahams are accurate, the Tajaka Sahams are off substantially. Test a simple Punya Saham e.g. Manually calculate your Punya Saham for 2001 or 2002 Varshapahl and compare to JHL . I think you will be surprised. I am sure Nahasimha is aware of this... and is fixing it for the next release... I have been testing JHL to PL2000 to manual calculations today and find discrepancies. I am hoping I will find the root cause of this and along the way learn allot!!! thx for your help. Guest guest
Namaste all, I have been working with Sahams for the last few days and to my chagrin I have not found a Software application that is accurate both at the Natal Chart level and at the Tajaka ( Varshapahl) level... so, if any one out there that has tested a program and is getting accuracy at both the Natal and Tajaka levels of calculations ( when compared to a manual calculation) please let me know... I understand Narasimha is completing the next revision of JHL and things look good from a Saham perspective... I can only encourage Narasimha to have this program ready for use by the sisya's at his earliest possible convenience. Guest guest
Dear Frank! The sahams are derived from the longitude of the planets and houses. I JHL, the tajaka longitude of planets and the ascendant is not precise as the embeded algorithm for its calculation calculate it approximately. JH commercial version willl use a more precise ephemeris for the calculation of the positions so the tajaka chart would be precise and hence the sahams would also be precise. So wait for JH commercial version's release. Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Sarajit and others, This is light gossip. What is going to be done by the computer is fine. Why don't you all discuss as to why a certain combination of planets gives Punya Saham (for example) and can there be an opposite of this like Paapa Saham? What is the philosophy behind Kali Saham and what is the fundamental difference between Jalapatha and Paradesa Saham? Guest guest
Namaste , .. Sahams I am trying to do what Sanjay has recommended in terms of studying Sahams….understand the root causes. a. Example: Punya Saham = Moon - Sun + Lagna. Hence Moon =mind, or mental condition, emotions, and Sri Krishna. Sun = the soul, ambitions, determination, optimisim, and Sri Rama. Lagna = physical body, self. The delta between the Sun and Moon: if the Saham calculation looks at the delta ( in longitude) between mental condition and ambition and optimism and add's to Lagna to arrive at Punya or fortune/good deeds. How is the related to Punya >? I would expect Guru to be part of the calculation? b. How do I think about their opposites i.e. Kali Saham or great misfortune : Jupiter - Mars + Lagna. Guru ( significator fortunes, wealth, wisdom) and Mar's ( significator for confidence, courage, passion, ).. I would have picked Sani as the Graha in this calculation e.g. significator for grief, despair, obstacles, etc. c. Fruition of Sahams for Tajaka - according to Sumeet Chugh , results will usually be only felt if Sahamesh aspects Varshaphal Lagna and; If the 8th lord and Saham are connected in any manner the signification of the Saham is destroyed. Any thoughts on this…and better analysis.
