Dear Zoran,

Pranaams.

I have authored a book on Vaastu, on the request of the devotees here, but

it's in Hungarian and is on the basics, However, I got through a lot of

materials to get it together, As fro practical things, B.Niranjan Babu's

book seems to be a good start. But if you want to get into more details, I

recommend you to tro to get the classics i.e. Maansasaara, Maayamatam, and

Samarangana Sutradhara. These are the most detailed descriptions. Also

Varaha Mihira's Brihat Samhita gives a lot fo info. You may find Shiv Chadha

(manoramaoccult) to find out more titles for you. But for really

getting into it, you should also try to find a Guru from some authentic

tradition, as we all had the forrtune to find Sanjayji. By the way, he also

gave a few hints on Vaastu back in the archives of this list.

Dear Zoran,

I also have some knowledge on this. Perhaps you should start with a book that explains the detailed architecture of a temple like say the book on artitecture of the Konarak temple, how it is constructed, its measurements, directions, materials used and how it has stood over the centuries. This shall be a good foundation.

Then come to the various natural principles of construction like the direction of the bedroom, prayer hall, kitchen etc; what should be their measurements and height; direction of doors and windows, their materials and colors.

How is this modified by the individual horoscope should be the final part of your studies.

Best Wishes

Sanjay Rath

Respected Sri Sanjay Rath and dear list members,

Jay Sri Jagannatha Mahaprabhu!

I read the instructions on the list about application of asthakavarga

calculations for Vastu with great interest and appreciation and

checked it out for a few people already. Regarding this topic I have

two questions:

1) How to cover the sub directions NE, SW, NW and SE? Do they

correspond to any signs?

2) For the last few years I was used to determine the favourable

directions for sleeping and working places according to the Moon-

Nakshatra-Pada of the individuals living in the house. We checked it

in a few hundred cases and it gave good results. People moving with

their sleeping place from a unfavourable to a favourable direction

experienced almost always great relieve. Am I wrong with applying the

Moon-Nakshatra-Pada in this regard or can it be combined with the

asthkavarga calculations?

I am thankful to be allowed to participate in this list and beg for

all of your blessings to be able to understand something about this

great science.

Your servant Gadadhara dasa
