gurudeva,

the method is as follows:

Sun 1/9

Moon 2/10

Mar 3/11

Mercury 4/12

Jupiter 5/13

Venus 6/14

Sani 7/15 (15 is Full Moon)

Rahu 8/0 (0 is Amavasya)

Doubt 1:

In the follwoing method, Kethu is not considered.

1. Find the 10th house from the house of interest. (if we need to time

marriage, then consider 7th house in D-9 and 10th from it. Or 10th from

Upapada Lagnam in D-9).

2. If the sign is de-void of any planet, then the tithi of the owner of

the sign would give the result.

3. If the sign has single planet, the tithi ruled by planet would give

the result.

4. If the sign has more than one planet, then the tithi of the stronger

of them would give the result.

In case of 4, how do we determine the stronger of the planets (all the

planets are in the same sign). Should be consider " Shadbala " , longitude

of planets or some other rules. In COVA we have different set of rules

listed. Which of them is applicable here?

Doubt 2:

Except for Full Moon day and Amavasya, for other dasas we have not way

of distinguishing which paksham it belongs to.

Is there any other rule which may enable us to predict the paksham

(sukla / krishna - waxing/wanning), masam, Rtu for the event.

Best regards,

Vijay.
