RE: [Jaya Jagannath] The importance of 1/9th division

Namaste Sanjay…

I have been giving your comments some thought e.g. the interesting observation about 1/9th division.

I mentioned that Ayurved suggests a life span of 108 yrs. I thought aligning this to Astottari Dasa system

for an Ayur based system would be a realistic approach.

Also - considering Vimshottari makes sense ( 120 yrs) as you suggested in your notes below, yet isn’t Vimshottari the

best for Phalita dasa calculations…?

If we take 120 and divide by 9 we get 13.333 or an interesting match for 1 Nakshatra of 13degrees 20 min.

IS there something to this? I do not think the math for Jyotish is coincidental… such as the total number of

degrees traveled in a 120 life span = 43,200 degrees. The sum of the digits ( 4+3+2+0) = 9.

Or the sum of the digits for 120 years = 3 , multiplied by the number of Nakshatra's traveled in 120 yrs ( 1,400)

= 4,320 ..add the digits up ( 4+3+2+0) and again we get 9.

Do you have some insight on this significance? … your first response is shown below.

[Jaya Jagannath] The importance of 1/9th division

Namaste ...

and Shataayu Bhavah.

Looking at a few interesting numbers , I noticed a pattern that arose.

If you take 27 Nakshatras and multiply by the number of pada's you get the

legendary 108 ( no news here, but lets take it one step further).

Auyrved suggests that we are all designed to live to (at least) 108 years.

[sanjay Rath] Why does Parasara give the Param Ayus as 120 years? Is Parasara off the mark or is there something we are missing out? Is there an existence after death??

I have included a chart below that shows what 108 looks like in years, months , weeks, seconds, etc., in a 108 year life etc.

Note that all numbers of this nature lead to 9 ( e.g. if you add the sum of the digits in months 1,296: 1+2+9+6 = 18. Then

add 1+8 = 9. Inspect all the numbers below which lead to 9. Divide the main number by 12 signs, and again the royal 9 appears.

Take the total number of degrees a person would travel in 108 years and add the digits, you get 9. The 9 is a key root to the chart, hence the Navamsa plays a key role and must be throughly reviewed.

The 9th house is key as is the 9th Nakshatra from Chandra, Lagna, Surya. We know the 9th house give fortune, ( Karaka = Guru), Spiritualism( Karaka = Ketu), Father (karaka = Surya), LD Travel (karaka= Sukra)…and is the protector of the individual ( I think it is also the protector of SELF) is therefore Vishnu sthana.

Also the 9th is 5th from the 5th.. More can be said here, but let me stop and see if anyone wishes to comment or give their

observations on this subject.

[sanjay Rath] I agree. Dharma is the most important and Dharma-Amsa is the essence to every life.
