Guest guest
HARE RAMA KRISHNA Dear Gurudeva and Jyotisha! While going through some earlier mails in the varahamihira list, One quesion cropped in my mind. In the charakaraka scheme, the karakas follow the natural order of signification excepting the Pitru karaka onwards. How this sequence of this charakaraka scheme reached? Why don't they follow the natural sequence of house indication? From the list we might see that the karakas signify someone from our relations or relatives, are only these relations seen from the charakaraka? Why the significations of four houses, 8th, 10th, 11th and 12th are not covered in this scheme? 1st Karaka: Atmakaraka: 1st Lord 2nd: Amatya: 2nd lord 3rd: Bhatru Karaka: 3rd Lord 4th: Matri Karaka: 4th lord 5th: Pitri Karaka: 9th lord 6th: Putra karaka: 5th lord 7th: Gyantikaraka: 6th Lord 8th: Dara Karaka: 7th lord I am pondering over the issue, any clue in this regard will be highly beneficial. The newcomers might go through the archive for the discussions on the karakas, the message #342 is a very informative and thought provoking in this regard.
