Om Gurave Namah!--------------------Dear Gurus, please consider my attempt at lesson 5.

 

1. RajaYogas are the yogas that produce Rajas or elevation in a material sense. Raja means royal, or has a kingly association. Raja Yogas give wealth and/or fame and/or power.

 

2. PravrajyaYogas are the Yogas that lets the person enjoy the lack of rajas(wealth/fame/power). i.e. through renunciation, and/or living away from the modernisations of soceity.

 

PravRajaYogas: Strong Benefics/weak malefics in 3rd/6th from Arudha Lagna.

 

3. Visti Larsen: 21st Nov, 1981, 6:22:21 AM, Nairobi Kenya, (+3 East of GMT), (36e49;1s17) - Chart Attached.

 

I would consider my chart as one of Raja Yoga.

 

4. Case Study: 4th Sep 1969 1:52:37 AM IST Delhi, India.a) What happened to the person in his 5 year of age?This was during Mars-Jup Dasa. Mars is in 3rd from Arudha Lagna and is strong, indicating lands. Mars lords the 11th house where the HL is, so i suspect elder brothers to be the source of these gains.

 

It happened in Mars Dasa as Mars lords Hora Lagna and gives Graha Dristi on Lagna, hence becoming Yogada.

 

b) How was Rahu Dasa for him?Rahu is in 6th from AL, and 9th from Lagna, and joined with Shastru Pada.

 

i)Rahu in 9th is quite bad, and can cause problems with elders. Being joined with Shastru Pada supports this, however in own sign will give strength.ii) Being in 6th from Arudha Lagna gives Rajas through illegal means.iii) Rahu gives Rasi Dristi on Hora Lagna & Ghati Lagna, whilst it gives Graha Dristi on Ghati Lagna and Lagna. This makes it Maha Yogada, and will give any raja yogas that are present in the chart.

 

c) Is there VRY present in his chart?Yes!

 

i) Mars and Rahu in 3rd and 6th from AL.ii) Ketu(6th lord) and Sun(3rd lord) joined in 3rd house.

 

5. Case study: 5th Jan 1934 10:17 AM IST Allahabad, India.

 

a) Is there VRY?Yes!Saturn(12th lord) & Mars(3rd lord) join in 12th with Rahu. But at what cost?

 

b) When and how will it function?

 

i) After the mothers death(4th lord venus) and a scandal/dispute(Rahu lording Lagna and giving Dristi on Ghati Lagna, and being in Moolatrikona-Amsa), he will rise to enter the thrown room(Saturn in Kanatakamsa).

 

ii) Rahu seems to be the strongest Yogada, hence i suspect that it will give its effects in Rahu Dasa.

 

c) He became Cabinet Minister with the advent of Jupiter Dasa. How did Jupiter in 8th give such excellent results?

 

i) Jupiter is lord of Lagnapada, Karmapada, Putrapada and joins Ghati Lagna.. so its dasa would give such effects.. but why?

 

ii) Because Jupiter is in Parivartana with the 8th lord Mercury, so Jupiter gives the misfortune of a friend(11th) that in turn gives him the rise in position(parivartana).

 

6. Case study: 23rd Jan 1950 6:15 AM IST, Ghaziabad, India.

 

a) Is there VRY?No.

 

b) Is widowhood indicated? if so when and how?

 

i) Mars, Ketu, Moon and Rahu in Kendra as Vargottama Mercury in lagna saves her, but aspects the 7th house. Furthemore 7th house in Navamsa is under Papakartari Yoga, as sun is in the 6th indicating Politics as the problem.

 

ii) Shoola Dasa of spouse begins from the stronger of 1st & 7th. The 1st is stronger with more grahas. The 4th Shoola Dasa of Pisces contains Rahu & Moon, and is aspected by Mars(creating Rudra Yoga) and Ketu, indicating a violent combination. So the death happened before the 36th year.

 

7. Case study: 19th December 1954 00:20 AM, Delhi, India.a) Is there VRY?

 

Sun(12th lord) and Rahu(6th lord) in Kendra, as Sun is in exalted Amsa.. Rahu is however debilitated in Rasi.. if i'm correct this is also a Raja Yoga.. only it happens in 12th from Arudha Lagna and will give more loss.

 

b) What happened with the advent of Saturn Dasa?

 

Saturn is 5th lord and lord of AL, posited in Kendra from AL, with Venus in own sign, this can give the person alot of wealth.

 

However I did notice the papakartari Yogas in his Navamsa and Dasamsa. And if i remember correctly,"if the 2nd lord from Upapada is in the 2nd house the person is a thief", as venus is in own house, he may have stolen from his own corporation and in Saturn Dasa he must have been imprisoned.
