Dear Vatsal,

As far as I can see, the chart you posted is not correct. You have the Time Zone listed as 0. The correct time zone for New York City this time of year is -4 GMT. ( 5 hrs - DST) I think the first crash Twin Tower crash occurred with Aries Rising and the second crash occurred with Taurus rising, unless the timing reported were off a little.

My apologies. I guess I am still too shaken to operate a computer correctly, living only a few miles from New York City.

I forget to change the AM/Pm switch for the chart. I am getting Virgo rising, but who knows maybe I'm still wrong.

Maybe someone else can confirm.

( 5 hrs - DST) I think the first crash Twin Tower crash occurred with Aries Rising and the second crash occurred with Taurus rising, unless the timing reported were off a little.

Virgo rising with Mercury on the exact ascending degree exactly trined by saturn is right.

 

The new year chart for New York is also interesting with ascendant falling in cancer, ruler moon falling in the 6th with mars and ketu. Mars also aspects ascendant by 8th house aspect. Saturn aspects the ascendant by both rasi and graha aspect. Since April, mars went retrograde, moved back to the 6th and when it meets ketu within a degree, this happens.

Which New Year do you use? Do you believe that this conjunction in sixth

would have done this for the US or would this be morelikely for its enemies?

This is a good combination in the sixth house. So, the methodology you have

adopted for the New year chart is not working.

There is another New year that is used in large parts of Orissa, south

bengal, north Andhra Pradesh and Punjab areas. Difference is between using

New Moon and Full moon in the two types of calanders. there is yet another

third type that uses the sankranti.

Dear Sanjay,

 

I was looking at the entry of Sun into Nirayana Aries(sankranti?). I know

that one is supposed to use the last new moon before the entry of the sun

into Aries. But so far, perhaps because of the ritual significance of New

Year as celebrated at home, I tend to use this.

 

The reason I thought this was significant was

a) Lagna lord moon was in the 6th hemmed between ketu and mars.

b) Lagna was aspected by saturn, rahu and mars by graha drishti. Saturn and

rahu were conjunct navamsa ascendant. Saturn and rahu rule the 8th. Jupiter

as 6th ruler was with saturn. Jupiter was also 9th ruler, perhaps showing

enemies with a religious tinge?

c) Moon was in the nakshatra of ketu in 9 Sag. Mars was in the same

Nakshatra.

d) Mars was in exact trine to the sun which had just entered aries. In

navamsa this brings them both into conjunction in aries.

e) 4th ruler venus is exalted in the 9th with debilitated mercury, but

neecha in navamsa.

f) Lagna was in Aslesha. I find this nakshatra always 'strange'.

 

On the 12th of September,

g) The conjunction of mars and ketu on the 12th of September was almost

degree conjunct the moon in the above chart, being at 7+ and 8+ degrees sag.

h) Also, saturn at 20 Taurus was exactly in trine to the crash ascendant and

ascendant ruler at 8:45.

 

I felt that a) and g) were the most significant and were linked. However, a

number of places would have had a cancer lagna at the entry of sun into

aries. However, I believe all of them were in the american subcontinent.

 

All of the above of course is from the 20-20 view of hindsight. I just

decided to do a new year chart and check it out and found all these

correlations. I will also have a look at the newmoon and fullmoon charts.

This is an excellent work. This morning when Narasimha had called for further discussions/lessons on the New year charts, this point about Aries Sankranti had been mentioned by me. yes, this is very valid and is traditional and your intuition has worked well.

This chart has an inbuilt error in that the Sun is always exalted and Vargottama.

Yes. Take a look at that planet and see how Jupiter shall fight back. It is
