Dear Narasimha,

Jupiter is conjunct Rahu and this conjunction as per Jaimini indicates

MANUSHYA HATYA or the slaying of people. Soince this is in Gemini the Lagna

of US, this was the place where it happened.

My post mortem views include the Mars Ketu conjunction as the cause

....something Doug and I were discussing just a day or two back and I was sad

and disgusted ..so sad that I could compose a sad poem for the day. These

things happen and sometimes sorrow can make artists produce such works.

Mars & ketu were in Rapt conjunction in Sagittarius (FALL FROM HEIGHT) and

can indicate airplanes, missiles or falling from tall buildings or

mountains. They are in Gemini Navamsa where these are targeted...

I tried constructing the New Moon Chart prior to the event.

I believe its 18th Aug 2001(i'm not writing from my personal computer), the

charts rudramsa clearly shows plane disaster. Those interested can take a

look.. more when i get home.

After this horrendous event I am still very shaken and afraid for what may happen next here in New York and abroad if America does take revenge as you predict.

Is there worship or japa we can do as individuals to help the situation?

Dear Karen,

 

Santi patha and constant repetition of a prayer for peace.

" OM SHANTI PRABHU " is an excellent mantra or like most of us here in india,

it is just " OM SHANTI SHANTI SHANTI " ... Pray for peace. Do this mentally,

breathe in with OM and out with Shanti shanti Shanti..the mind will rest.

 

Especially those of you living near New York where this massacre occured,

please recite the Shanti patha as given under " Guru Mantra " at

http://sanjayrath.tripod.com/ These sort of thing happened in Hiroshima &

nagasaki and the Mother (Aurobindo's great disciple) had to go there and use

a lot of her spiritual energy to make the tormented souls rest. Believe me

they are more shocked than you are. they need to rest. they need the peace

more than you. so, please do this shanti patha for them.
