ayanamsa : Can we follow an ayanamsa fw minutes less than lahiris

The lahiri ayanamsa assumes and calculates that fixed and moving

zodiac coincided in 285 AD and calculates the ayanamsa. Prof shastri

writes that as per varhamihira the entry of sun into uttarayana on

273d20m and if we calculate we get the date of 200AD. Mr Fagan found

that these two ought to have coincided in 213 AD.

 

As per Surya sidhanta this date is 398.which is followed in Ramans

ayamansa.

I find if we set off Lahiri ayanamsa by few minutes i.e 5 minutes and

51 seconds some things become better.

 

I remember PVR mentioning once that he also follows aynamsa which is

few minutes lower than Lahiri aynamsa.

 

Generally Lahiri ayanamsa gives satisfactoriy result but if we set it

off by some minutes can we get better result.
