Please consider my attempt to Q. 1.1 from your very enlightening lesson on ista devata.

 

Q: 1.1Male born 7 Aug, 1963 at 9:15' PM IST at Sambalpur India. What remedy would you recommend for the native to reduce the suffering and obstacles in life? [28 Sept 2001]

 

 

My attempt:

 

The AK is Saturn, a malefic, indicating a high level of spiritual development. AK is also retrograde showing a deep-rooted desire as being the cause of rebirth. Desires of the soul can be seen from 7th from AK. In this case a conjunction of Venus and Sun(jyotish,ayurveda) in the 5th house (higher learning/mantra). AK in 11th house gives occult knowledge being the 4th(learning) from the 8th(occult) house.Having Saturn as the AK means that one will have to strive not to cause other sorrow and share in the sorrow of others. The 12th from the karakamsa is Leo contain Mercury. Mercury is in the second drekkana of a fixed sign so the ista devata is Sri Krishna. Sorrows and suffering can be reduced by worshipping Sri Krishna.
