Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear members! The division of time in jyotish.... For those who don't know I am telling this. The whole day is of 60 Ghatis and each ghati is of 60 vighati. Hence the hourly equivalent of 1 ghati = 24/60 hr => 1 ghati= 0.4 hr=24 minutes. Therefore, 60 vighati=24 min. =>1 vighati=0.4 min=24 sec. The opposite is 1hr= 2.5 ghati = 150 vighati; 1 Minute =2.5 vighati Regards Sarajit > Sri Aurobindo Ghose 15 Aug, 1872 at about 1 ghati> (i.e. 24 minutes) before sunrise at Calcutta, India.> Explain the reason behind his great work Savitri> (Savitur) and the interpretation of the Rig Veda.[29> Sept 2001]
