Namaste. Here's my attempt at the third case,

submitted for your perusal and guidance.

 

Case Study - III

 

Nathuram Vinayak Godse 19 May 1910 at 8-29 AM ; 73E52'

18N31' India. He was supposed to be a god fearing

person, yet he committed homicide! What are the

factors by which this happened?[30 Sept 2001]

Rahu is the AK, situated in the 12th house in D1

chart. The Lagna lord Me® and the Naisargika

Atmakaraka, Sun are with Rahu in the 12th house. As

the AK is a malefic planet, it does indicate a highly

spiritual person (gone astray)?

 

Mars indicates a fanatic tendency, great energy

brought and a weapon

Rahu signifies aliens, alien beliefs, political plots,

impetuous nature and executors.

Lagna Lord in the 12th suggests latent anger. Mercury

in the 12th also suggests perverted thinking.

 

The native, like his AK, a torn creature, perhaps

longed for the security of a body and lacked the

emotional balance the heart provides. The execution

of the native in Jupiter-Saturn-Rahu dasa completed

the process of total identification with AK.

 

The placement of Sun in the 12th house shows that the

tendency/inclination is towards loss/annihilation of

others & self. That's the native's key to an identity

and recognition. The native deluded himself into

thinking that he was killing for upholding dharma. The

fact that the assassination took place infront of so

many people in the early evening seems to indicate the

defiant /martyr-for-religion stance of the native.

 

Both the Ascendant and Mars (the only planet in the

ascendant) are in Rahu's Nakshatra. Mars is very

malefic for Gemini Lagna as it becomes the 6th & 11th

Lord. The Lagna lord is hemmed between Saturn ( the

8th & 9th lord in the Moolatrikona house of

Mars-religious fanaticism)and Mars in the ascendant.

 

Saturn aspects the Lagna both in D1 & D9. Rahu aspects

Saturn in D1(12th house aspect?) and in D9. The AL in

D1 is lorded by Mars and has Saturn in it. The Navamsa

lagna is capricorn and Sun & Rahu are in Aquarius,

which is co-lorded by Saturn-Rahu.

 

The native has Jupiter® in the 4th house (Virgo-an

inimical house) with Moon (Manah karaka) forming

gajakesari yoga, indicating fame (?). Jupiter® is

again in the 4th house in Navamsa, in Mar's house.

Jupiter & Moon are aspected by Mars and Rahu in D1.

Mars is with moon in pisces in navamsa. For once,

Rahu, the ultimate anti-jupiterean principle seemed to

have checkmated both the best benefic & protector

(lagna lord).

 

Both Mercury and Jupiter also suffer from

kendradhipatya dosha. With both the karakas for

intelligence and wisdom being retrograde, indicating a

certain lack of open mind / heart and the chart seems

to be overwhelmingly in the grip of Mars and

Rahu-Saturn (indicating fanaticism,aggression &

physical violence - Rahu himself is a product of

deceit and violence).

 

The assassination took place on 30th January, 1948.

Godse was running Jupiter Mahadasa & Saturn antardasa.

Saturn being the 8th & 9th house lords, gives

predominantly good results as his moolatrikona is in

Aquarius. However, according to BPHS, the first part

of saturn antardasa will give 8th house results, such

as mental instability and fears etc. It's also said

that Rahu is like Saturn. The converse also seems to

work in this case.

 

Exalted Venus in the 10th gives Malavya yoga and

Amalayoga. But with Mars & Rahu, misdirected religious

fervour coupled with perverted intellect, had

neutralised all the yogas and given the native great

notoriety. Like his AK Rahu, who tried to get amrita

through deceit the native also killed the Mahatma in

the guise of doing pranaam.

The 12th house from karakamsa is capricorn, the

navamsa lagna itself, and Venus in the house indicates

Lakshmi. With Saturn being the lord of 12 th house

from karakamsa, and given the aggressive tendencies of

the native, perhaps the native had worshipped the

ishtadevata as Kali.

 

If only had the native been led to the led to the

lotus feet of the Mother as Lakshmi/Annapurna, the

softer and more compassionate facets of Devi, perhaps

history would have different. But then, fate willed it

this way.
