I thought that the rule for Ista Devata is, if the 12th from AK is unoccupied

then the lord of that sign becomes Ista Devata ( in Gandiji's chart this would be Mars).

Yet, Learning from Shailesh's analysis In Navamsa, the 12th house from AK, SC, is un-occupied and its lord, Mars conjoins Venus (MK) in Taurus and being more advanced in degrees, becomes Ishta Devata..

This makes sense...many other sisya's also chose Mars.

I am clear on the rule for Ista Devata . That is, if the 12th from AK is unoccupied , the

Dear Visti,

If you go to a friends house, I will call the friend to contact you.

Yet, once I call, the phone is given from the friend to you... I then talk to you.

Now, does that make your friend the Ista Devata , no. It makes him the messenger

and helper.

 

The "math" here is the logic used. Once the logic has done its work,

it is time to decide based upon experience and the rules of Parashara, whose

insight leads the way. That is how far I got in my logic, and I do not see anyinfo that I have read or been instructed in, to let my logic fall to the way-side.

Hense the reason for my doubt.
