Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Narasimha, Pranaams Thank you very much for answering my inquiry on Lagnamsaka dasas! >Sanjay's latest book " Narayana dasa " has a chapter on " Lagnamsaka " >and " Padanadamsa " variations of Narayana dasa with examples. Get that >book! I have ordered Sanjay's new book on Narayana dasa, and it is in the mail. I'm waiting anxiously for its arrival! >Secondly, I wrote at great length on Lagnamsaka variation and its >meaning on " achyuta " list for gurus. Search the archives >for " Lagnamsaka " . I also dealt with charts other than navamsa, e.g. >Lagna-Siddhamsaka dasa, Lagna-Dasamsaka dasa etc. Lagnamsaka is a >short form for Lagna-Navamsaka. I don't remember the posts, or might have been out of town when you posted to Achyuta on this subject. I will go and fetch the archives on it. >If your D-24 lagna is Vi, then Vi in your rasi chart becomes Lagna- >Siddhamsaka. If you use Lagna-Siddhamsaka instead of lagna to compute >Narayana dasa of rasi chart, it becomes Lagna-Siddhamsaka dasa. Lagna- >Navamsaka dasa is the most important and known as Lagnamsaka dasa. So then, basically you are taking the lagna of n-varga, and making that the starting point for calculations of Narayana dasa in the rasi chart. Correct? And presuming that the lagna of Navamsa (or other varga) is different that the rasi lagna, you are going to find significance of the meanings of that varga as emerging through the rasi chart dasas. Right? Then, if the lagna of any particular varga (Navamsa in this particular case) is vargottama, then there will be no additional suggestions coming through the n- amsaka chart. Yes? >Lagnamsaka in rasi chart shows dharmik self's activities in the >physical world. Its progression with time, as traced by Lagnamsaka >dasa, shows the physical activities of dharmik self. Similarly, >physical activities of intellectual self are shown by Lagna- >Siddhamsaka dasa. Note that Sanjay is running Pisces dasa as per both >Lagnamsaka dasa and Lagna-Siddhamsaka dasa! So his dharmik self and >intellectual self are engaged in sattwik traditional activities at >the physical level. Fascinating! Thanks to you and Sanjay for this valuable information! Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah -------------------------- Dear Narasimha, Actually, Lagnamsaka dasa is a well known dasa among the learned in Jaimini Sutra. This is based on the foundation that after a person dies, the he only carries his Dharma into the next life i.e. past life deeds effect on this life. But, there is no foundation for Lagna-Siddhamsaka or Lagna-Vimsamsaka as it is possible that the religion in this life is totally different from what it was in the last life etc. Best Wishes Sanjay Rath - <pvr <varahamihira > Monday, October 08, 2001 11:29 PM [Hare Rama Krishna] Re: Lagnamsaka dasa > Pranaam Robert, > > > Dear Sanjay and Narasimha, > > > > Pranaams - > > > > Could you please explain Lagnamsaka dasa, its calculations, and how > it is > > similar/different from D-1 Narayana dasa?
