Guest guest
Dear Friends Hare Ram Krishn We have Adhik Masa this time from shukla pratipada to amavasya. As per rules if there is no transit of sun during the mounth in next rasi then we call the month adhik masa.the current adhik masa is correct as per south indian tradition of amant-masa.In North we have Poornimant-masa.So current adhik-masa do not fulfill the condition. However all indians treat it as Adhik masa. New year also starts from shukla pratipada. This again endorses the View of southern tradition. As per north new year falls in the middle of month. A mounth must start with year and not before it. Can some one help me in understanding why north indian mounth starts from krishn-pratipada? I guess that current Vaivaswat Manwantar has probably started on Poornima and to remember this Poornimant-masa was started. Is anybody having details of which Manwantar started on which tithi? BTW things d! one on Yugadi(4),Manwadi(14),Kalpadi(7) tithies last for the entire duration of respective Yuga,Manwa,Kalpa.
