Let me please add few things which I have totaly ignore so far. I realy did not gone through this chart in details but just over your mail.

the Virgo Nartayana dasa may not that good as you expected because this Bhandana yoga.

Most important point is see the ownership of Saturn. Saturn will be in 10th from AL and aspect 10th from lagna soon. This is Kantaka Sani.

I was thinking that when using narayana dasha primary importance goes to rashi drishti for general results during the rasi dasha, here benefics are in the kendras. However ,sat is not so bad for gemini lagna, and will give primarally the results of his trinal ownership of the 9th house.In addition he is involved in parivartana with his friend venus- an exchange between the 5/9 lords that is very good-and they are both friends to lagna lord,Merc. So other than hard work, and some financial obligations,some health concerns, etc I am not so concerned with him.

See the placement of Jupiter 10th lord, in Punavasu. Don't you see some thing there against Moon's placement.?

I see that Jup is in punarvasu his own nak, and moon is in visakha,also a nak lorded by Jup and that moon is AK.

Also I see that jup and moon are both marakas, especially the moon. I think this would be more a problem if LL is directly affected like say in a Pisces dasha. In terms of income and job i thought it looks like a benefic/gainful period.

Also Sun is in 8th house from Virgo. Yes, but more i am concerned with Mars being naturally a malefic for gemini,and being the 8th lord in the 9th(and in a trine) from dasha lord virgo, for other reasons.

Additionally, in navamsa Virgo is in the 9th,as HL,AL and by rashi drishti aspected by sagGL,A8A10,Moon/Ketu. Also geminiA3Jup/Rahu, and piscesMars.

Using vimshottari she is in Rahu/merc for awhile, that also corresponding with Narayana Virgo dasha flavor.

P.S. I see Rahu has indicating her occupation/ability to do research and work on biological/chemical/health lab work.

Do not simply ignore these little combination.

Dear class ,

Rema has asked me to help her figure out if she will lose her job and get another. I have been reading Narayana Dasha and thought i would try to give her an answer based on this..I would appreciate if any one sees an error in my exercise to please correct me.Her chart is attached.

She is currently in Leo NarayanaDasha , which over all should be good as it is the seat of the HL, and the Sun is in his own sign in the 11th.however next major period Virgo looks much better.

However right she is now in the sub period of Leo/scorpio and scorpio looks like a malefic period.Scorpio in in her natal 6th houseand is being aspected by its lord mars, and, has the following negative influences- scorpio is aspected by capA6, airesA8Sun,and leoHL,UL. the 2nd lord fromscorpio falls in the 8th therefrom etc.This can show the problems she is facing.

She will be entering Virgo Dasha period next april and should start feeling the effects inmarch.

Virgo Dasha looks much better. Virgo is the AL,A7 and is aspected by its lord merc.and GL,seat of power.AND the despositor of the powerful arudhas in the 1st house. Virgo is also influenced by Jup7/10th lords and seat of A4,A5,A10,A11.Ketu is there also. (Although I am not sure how Ketu will contribute in this case as he is in the house of the Dasha lord.

Moon and Rahu are in Sagwith A3. Altogether I think this shows a good period for her.)She is a talented medical research technician.

In april Jup will still be transiting over her natal 10th lord and influencing all those arudhapada in 1st house, in addition to Moon 2nd lord, 9th lord and A9.Next year Jup will be transiting through her 2nd house natally aspecting his houseGL, and Merc 1/4lords and her natal 10 th house.

Only hang-ups to virgo Dasha period are argala from Sat her natal 8th/9th lord in the 2nd from virgo. So she still might have to work hard and have some restriciton on her income due to debts,etc.The argala from Moon/rahu is blocked by the jup/ketu in the 10th fromvirgo.However, ExSun is the HL lord, in 8th from Dasha lagna and is in the 2nd from DashaLL merc.,also seat of A8. Could this be positive at all? like a goverment contract.

I have a question- In this chart there is bandhana effect having Moon/Rahu in the 4th and Jup/ketu in the 10thfrom dasha sign=having an equal number of planets in the kendras. And merc dasha lord is in the 7th, from Dasha sign. Can someone please explain which sign is stronger and what are the effects of this??Also the significance Sun plays.

Yes, but please do not forget Saturn's natural nature for Kantaka Sani. In fact when the house/sign where Saturn transit is own or good sign for Saturn, the results may be not so bad. See mine, I have 8th and 9th lord Saturn in 8th, with Moon. When Saturn Transit in Moon lagna it was Kantaka Sani and I given up jobs, but came to Australia and promoted.(In fact there were lot of things behind those events). In 96 to 98 Saturn transit in Pisces where 10th from lagna again I given up the job, for a package. This year when Saturn transit in Taurus, where 10th from AL, again I gave up my job unexpectedly. Non of those events gave me bad results much where as, the first one When Saturn transit in Moon lagna his own sign, given me actually very good improvements.

Me too misunderstood, as 9th lord, and from my past records Saturn would be OK for me. But finally I had to pray Rudra, " OM Namo Bhagavate Rudraye " .

I am collecting some information about Kantaka Sani. If I able to find some thing I will share with you.

when I open the chart you sent to me, it say Moon is in Uttrashada 1. I do not know. If it is correct, Jupiter, (no matter how good or bad naturally) in Veda Nakshastra to Moon. This could give lot of mental tension in life. Just see at this movement Jupiter transit in Punarvasu, veda to Uttrashada. This is bad transit. The chart is exactly same as mine. A5 is in lagna with transit Jupiter. How such a Guru can do his teaching when this Rahu too playing in A5. Only thing we can do, is say " Hare Rama Krishna. "

My main point was to remind Kantaka Sani and ask for appropriate remedies for that. In fact I did not check any other details.
