Arya Samaj, hinduism, and astrology

Since in Arya Samaj, there are no deities or worship of deities, then

how does Arya Samaj relate with vedic astrology.

Dear Shashank,

 

You are confusing the opposition to 'blind' idol worship with absense

of dieties.

 

How did Swami Dayanand start his spiritual journey?? He was searching

for the 'true' Shiva, as opposed to - what he said - was a peice of

stone.

 

The spiritual meaning of his teaching - unfortunately lost/

misinterpreted - is that we have to know the 'TRUE' diety or the God.

 

The God is the extreme & omnipotent power & dieties are His partial

representations, signifying His specific 'properties' or 'GUNA's.

 

The vedic mantras, used for havan, offer respect to surya, agni,

varuna, indra, etc.

Dear Shashank,

Arya samaj has understood the meaning of Deva and Devata. Recite the Gayatri

and other higher mantra from the vedas. As regarding relating to Jyotish,

Jyotish is a vedanga and a part and parcel of the veda. After all, Krishna

advised the gayatri Mantra as well as OM as this is Om tat sat. This is the

essence. Some come to this directly, others take time.
