BPHS aspectual diagram The Kalachakra diagram- Oops! 1 mistake

Dear Gurudev

 

We are exhorted to look first at BPHS, & then refer other books/ ask

questions. So, so I searched in BPHS, for any clues to my earlier question

ref source/ mystery of the Kala Chakra (NOT the dasa) in VRA. The closest I

could find is in 6-9, ie pg 108 of Vol 1 in the Ranjan publication of

Santhanam's translation. The heading is Aspectual Diagram, coming just

after explaining the sign-aspects, purporting to explain them better:

As a mnemonic for sign-aspects, this diagram actually should be drawn with

8 spokes in 8 directions (not a table as above). As we can see there are

some differences, which make no difference as far as understanding the

sign-aspects are concerned. However, no other items like nakshatras,

planets, etc are given in that source. Also, the directions allocated ARE

different for 4 of the directions.

 

So, I did my part of the due-diligence. Now, am stuck. So, can I repeat my

earlier question attached as a forwarded message below:

Dear Gurus

 

Ref the following e-mail just sent: solution to Ra in Mc, which rules its

opposite direction in the kalachakra diagram:

 

Leafing thru Pt Rath's Vedic Remedies in Astrology (VRA) for the 1st time,

I came across the kalachakra diagram, allocating the 8 charakaraka planets,

12 signs, tithis, etc in the 8 directions (45* apart= N, NW, & c). He has

also referred to it in some places, in terms of oppositions, eg the remedy

for Mc is in Jp (its neech-bhanga karaka), which is in opposition to it in

terms of direction ruled.

 

However, the various allocations of directions ruled, the tattwas

allocated, etc etc are very mystifying & completely different from any

traditional allocations of all these matters. I wonder if they are

specifically used only for remedies. OTOH, Pt Rath has referred to it in

other matters (normal natal delineation logic) also sometimes. Is there any

method to these allocations that I am missing? They dont seem to have a

consistent relationship in terms of anything I would normally be expected

to know in the kindergarten of astrology (opp exaltation points,

friendhips, etc etc).
