Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namah! --------------------- Dear Gurudeva and and List, Namaste. In the case of the Vimshottari Secret(used to time exact day of events), we have been trying to figure out why Jupiter was excepted in the chart of Sanjay Raths Father. I've copied the chart at the end of the mail. "When The king of Heaven, Indra, seated in his throne was surrounded by the; Maruts, Vasus, Rudras, Adityas, Rbhus, Visvadevas, Sadhyas, Asvini-kumaras, Siddhas, Caranas and Gandharvas and by great saintly persons. Also surrounding him were the Vidyadharas, Apsaras, Kinnaras, Patagas [birds] and Uragas [snakes]. And was recieving blessings by them all, through song and dance, his Great Guru, Brihaspati appeared before him. However, even thou Indra saw his spiritual master before him, he was poluted by his sence of material bliss, and didn't get up to greet him, nor offer him a seat. Brihaspati knew everyhing that would happen in the future. Seeing Indra, he knew that he was puffed up by his material opulence, ut instead of cursing Indra, he instead silently returned to his home. When Indra cursing himself for having been so foolish, went to find his Guru, he found nothing, as Brihaspati had disapeared." As a result, would Jupiter(Brihaspati) always leave the Sun(king) who is colored by material bliss(debilitated)? Best wishes, Visti. p.s. Is your health better now? Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namah --- Dear Gurudeva, If i've understood the story correctly, Indra had to take on another Guru; and Asura, to protect heaven. However after a long time, and after Indra had commited many sins due to ignorrance, Brihaspati returned, and asked Indra to go on a pilgrimage to cleanse himself. So Brihaspati returned to Indra, eventually. Am i on the right track? Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna --------------------- Dear Gurudeva, Your right, he wasn't an Asura, but favored the Asuras. He was the son of Tvastha, and was called Visvarupa. He explained the Narayana Kavacha to Indra, which Visvarupa, got from Tvastha, which he recieved from Dadhyanca/Dadhici, who's body was very strong due to this. Visvarupa was killed by Indra himself, when Indra found that Visvarupa was favoring the Asuras. Many of these events, led to the great war indicating the end of Kreta (Satya) Yuga, and begining of Treta Yuga. Again!!
